@d1 no it didn't, last year IDC layoff started on Aug01 and I tracked it. NA layoff started in Sep02.

@bg FWIW, last year the RIF began on Aug 12. IIRC, the great SUNW RIF of 2017 was just before the labor day weekend, meaning you didn't get the holiday, as there was no garden leave offered then.
It's our mentally ill troll raising panic on daily basis. There won't be any mass layoffs on the last week of August, it's just stupid. We will have a regular mass layoff on the turn of the month, as we always had.
