@c6 Looking forward any research papers he might have written on AI.
@c0 mind elaborating?
Bye-bye, Zsa Zsa Gabor! 👋
@ew The breach occurred on September 21, 2023. Verizon discovered the incident nearly three months later on December 12, 2023, and began notifying affected staff and regulators in February 2024. IIRC they didn't think it needed to be reported because it wasn't customer information. The FCC had to redefine breach to include internal as well as external. I think there was a hefty fine as well.
@VP CIO never stopped the massive VZ employee 2024 data breach leaking employee, name, birthday, social security, salary, address, etc
Finally, Nazrin Resai was garbage
@cc Maybe he wanted to be a big fish in a little pond.
dont hire cisos from pakistan. or any position
Wonder why the CISO of a $497b market cap equipment company would leave to become CISO of a $208b market cap "network provider", possible rat leaving one ship and jumping on another to try and float a bit longer.
Jason L. announced that he is leaving his role as Global Chief Information Security Officer at Cisco to join Verizon as their incoming CISO.
He highlighted Verizon's push toward an AI-first future and the need to defend against AI-enabled threats.
So... Verizon's CISO replaced with the CISO from Cisco.
Say that ten times real fast.
her entire staff should be also let go, at least the Senior Director who has some sort of financial
incentive from some vendor, writing blogs on their website.
Chief Information Security Officer.
@ag Sure, the official verbiage she said was that she was retiring. Just like every other executives, that they were "retiring".
Regardless if she was asked to leave or not, it doesn't matter. Point is, it was long over due and the new CISO will likely shake things up.
@aa An incredibly uninformed take.
What is CISO?
Cisco was a huge success in VGS!
Having a new CISO was way overdue. Considering Salt Typhoon occurred under her leadership, I'm surprised she wasn't asked to leave sooner. With the new CISO, I'd imagine he will bring his own people and have another "Re-Org".
