Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Positions being eliminated

I have seen 2 SVPs say their positions have been eliminated. This was on LinkedIn. What is going on? The new CEO is not even official yet.

In Enterprise Technology under Hagerman it’s pretty simple. They are eliminating positions to get rid of senior leaders that were from BB&T or SunTrust, dumping work on other leaders then ultimately creating new positions later that they can use to bring in more senior leaders from Wells Fargo or their friend group. They are systematically replacing all the leadership that was here before Hagerman started. It’s sad because they are letting some really good people go as well as a LOT of institutional knowledge.
