Fear doesn't motivate. It just empties the building of the people you actually need.

They know it and they don’t care.
A culture of fear develops when management needs to cover up mistakes or hide incompetence. Looking at the situation, there seems to be plenty of both.
I agree that CS is much kinder than RV and DM. Pure evil to find ways to avoid severance when the company is closing down offices or moving work abroad. CS himself, who was also very much a disrupter, was quoted several times as saying we need to be respectful to those we are casting aside. This uses to be such a great company to work for, has not been since CS came onboard and it is never going back.

Are you kidding? Charlie Scharf was Mr. Rogers compared to Robin the Ripper
It could be worse - you could get Charlie Sharfie back as your CEO
Are ye daft me OP boyo?
This is part of the plan! RV and his henchmen and hunchbackwomen are on a mission to get BNY to 25,000 employees. So scaring, antagonizing, threatening and yes, mentally abusing people is great way to help that trimming along.
We are not people at BNY. We are just aphids and roaches on the payroll.
They don't care. See, fear based culture produces short term gains. It's long term that triggers issues. This EC doesn't care about long term issues, they're here for their short term bonuses. By the time the issues have arisen, they're already gone
I've accomplished more in the past 6 months since getting fired than I did in years at the bank. I could have done a lot for them, but I'm so glad I'm doing it for myself instead! Anyone on the way out, start a business, stay focused and consistent. If this sh---y institution can get sales you can absolutely get them too! And btw RV you're a schmuck.
They won't. Even if they did, it wouldn't matter. It comes from the top and Robin believes his own propaganda.
