On July 31st, eight more high seniority CWA Leg T workers in Minnesota were offered VTP which includes 104 weeks pay for most of these union workers. This amounts to about $140k to almost $200k so it's an awesome opportunity to retire with a very sweet incentive in addition to their nice pension, 401k and medical, dental and vision benefits along with eventual social security. What a sweet ending to a challenging career with T with many years ahead for enjoying well earned retirement. And management has hinted more VTP offers are to come. Great news for workers ready to leave and move on.

The @$$ kissing bootlickers are making even bigger f00ls of themselves by remarking all the negative comments on here rather than simply congratulating others or scrolling on. These little managers have deep psychological problems which most likely stem from their regretful decision to take a management job which handed over the power for the company to fck with their life. Understandably, it would $u-k to be a manager especially these days where we're all going to inevitably be laid off and they see that Leg T CWA workers getting a much better deal than lowly managers when the surplus day arrives.
Those silly comments denying VTP happenings are likely from external trolls because if they were internal employees they'd easily be able to confirm validity of this OP. Regardless, it shows their shallowness and obsessive sickness along with their need for counseling and therapy.
Ha! Sure bud… See you on the commute!
Cool fantasy. Whelp, time to get back to the truck and harness up.
@ch
Get back to the break room and get the coffee going for my last day office boy.
@d9
Only people who speak english as their first language have heard about it.
@a9
No, they wont. Cry harder.
@en are you manager?😆😆
If people are wondering whether 104 weeks is a thing - it's a thing. If someone started at age 18, under the terms, "31 years but less than 32 years 104 weeks' pay". They're out at age 50. The thing that is missing is pre-medicare health care. That used to be a thing too.

"● Maintained 104 weeks of termination pay in Article 25 for current employees. The new hire term pay for people hired on or after April 12, 2026, will move to a 40-week termination pay schedule."
Great example of why T is going bankrupt. No union position is worth this kind of shareholder money. CWA and woke T leadership have destroyed the company.
@dj I guess you don’t understand the contract. You needed to start 50 years ago to be eligible for this clause to apply to you. You are NOT getting 104 weeks if you started 30 years ago.
If you stayed around long enough to get 104 weeks, you must be pushing 70 at least. I am not sure you have a lot to crow about still working at your age.

We only need 30 years of service to get 104 weeks of severance. Do you really think we started at age 40?
I guess that's how "managers" think. lol.
Call BS on this. It so more around the company would have hear about this
Cool story bro.
You have to pay to retire from the union? Ge-z. I am glad I am management. Union sounds horrible.
More like paid $$ to the union, to retire. LOL!

Names or it didn’t happen.
Total fantasy land candy land narrative. Give it up.
I call bs. What were their names?
Congrats to the 8 getting this VTP in addition to the 26 union workers also in Minnesota who got it in June. Very nice deal! We've heard many people proclaim that VTP will never happen however it is and so many of us are happy. Thanks to our labor union for negotiating this along with our very fair wages, benefits and working conditions. Union dues are a tiny percentage of what we get.
Mobility here over 20 yrs and when they kick us to the curb, 401, pension and no medical. Thanks randall
Would
They haven't made any offers in D9 yet since we carry the company and they can't afford to go down headcount. They've been backfilling.
If only they’d hit mobility too. So many of us have been here since the 90’s and are getting desperate to get away from this chaotic company.
Remember, the CWA will get their share of the severance $$ after they have already taken around 35K over your 30 years of service in dues.
Congrats to the 8!
