nontechnical PMs will be gone, across the board. Nontechnical anybody will be gone.
H1Bs won't have jobs as most basic office jobs are made redundant in the next 3 years. AI is coming for the jobs it can automate. H1Bs are temporary and being paid (for less to save the companies $$$) until they too are automated. By 2029 they will no longer be in the country as their roles were automated. If they are in the country then they will just be part of the unemployed tech/office masses.
(Cue UBI. And distribution of homes/etc to another class of workers. Another story altogether. With nobody working (or only certain people) you'd anticipate higher crime and boredom-related things - not with Flock being rolled out. Meh good luck. I wouldnt worry about H1Bs as you are all ending up in the same boat.)
Look at all the comments coming from non technical PM’s who think AI is Claude and connecting it to confluence
@eq Yes, they will intentionally fail. But at least the PERM will be blocked.
@dw What they will do is make your technical interview impossible to pass and claim you are not qualified and then say they need an H1B. Have been a victim of this once, maybe even twice.
Lets apply to it at the email mentioned in the jobs.now link above and block the PERM.
Some H1B is already holding that job though.
@OP I mean there is the “joke” about what AI actually stands for in the large enterprise. Not repeating it because I’m not trying to add to the xenophobia but it’s also…not wrong.
Yeah AI efficiency is just code for H1B1 Indian labor. Compliments of Trump.
