If there are 10,000 jobs in India. Why are we paying a fortune for these visa workers to be here? Shouldn't they go back to India where they contribute most efficiently to the bank?

@qp those marrying their cousins in the US are not originally from here, or they're from the way deep south. There is legitimately a question on marriage certificates about being related.
Marrying your cousins is definitely not normal or an accepted practice in the US.

Your reading comprehension needs work. To be an American, you need a piece of paper. Citizenship, in case you can't infer.
What it means to be an American doesn't fit into a box. You can be an American and feel very differently from the person next to you as to what, exactly, that means. Hence why I said the spirit of it is different for each person. Calm down.

That is the fundamental difference between the mindset of americans and the invaders coming here to profit. We feel like we have a responsibility to our country. It's not the responsibility of someone who left their country for different opportunities to return to fix it for the reasons they left. This applies to literally every country. Not just India. The same can be said for the sh-t happening here in the states. People want different, so they leave for different.

What these types say looks good on paper and works IF AND ONLY IF.....
The immigrants share the same empathetic value.
The reality is, those same immigrants won't spare 2 moments considering whether or not to lay you off if they become management. They have the opposing value to the sui-idal empath/sui-idal open border folks. They want their own kind and their own kind only.

@a8 I work directly with H1B visa holders every day. I don't give a fu-k about how they got here or how they came to be employed. I care about the quality of work, how they treat me, and how they treat others.
I absolutely refuse to let this place turn me into a sh---y miserable person that says things like OP did. Sure, maybe my empathy is sui-idal for my career eventually, but at least I will be able to live with myself at the end of the day. How you treat people matters. At this point you guys are no better then the MC. You see people as disposable.

So, we're just going to rescind the visa of a really good employee and send them back to a country they haven't lived in for years simply because they're originally from India? What about their families, and children here who are citizens? What about the homes they own, the lives they lead, and the friends they have? This is a fu--ing garbage take.
