Hypothetically if we started posting elsewhere, what would be the top 3 other companies you would want to work for? Asking for a friend.

Because this is applicable to working at CVX and layoffs?
Move this BS thread to reddit already.
Thanks
Best company to work for?... Is like asking which was your best marriage partner?!!. None! If you have to work for one (or get married to one) - you don't ask such questions!!. You do what you are told - keep your mouth shut - andenjoy what you get!! Else go find another!! Good luck
If you are looking for something corporate like Chevron, then I would say Oxy is the best bet. They never do mass layoffs, enough cross pollination that you can get out of a bad team if you have talent. Work harder that legacy Chevron but not Exxon level. Greenway and surrounding isn't bad and they are getting a campus but the location has to be the hardest place to get to no matter where you are in the city.
Marathon
I know many don't like Oxy, but I worked for them for 10 years and I can tell you they take care of employees. Say what you will, but I saw it first hand and many of the APC folks are still there. I worked for APC and Oxy and it was pretty seamless for me, but I got to office at The Woodlands tower. The only negative I saw was when we had to go to Greenway. If i had of worked at Greenway I would have ended up moving. I took the VSP in 12/2025 and they took care of us very well.
Has OXY announced a round of layoffs? Hadnt heard that? They have been hiring I heard.
@eg shell just went through a huge layoff too. Oxy about to theirs. I think it’s time for you go just leave the industry because nothing is good enough.
