Silently quitting?

How many people at TR have already silently quit? The amount of people who do absolutely nothing is amazing. I personally know of 2 people who are double dipping—been working another full time job for months whilst still collecting a TR paycheck. There are probably many, many more people doing this as well!

Tr su-ks! I was shocked to hear they are still depending on duct taped and bandaided workarounds for important content. Using software 25 years out of date! They dressed up the severance package to excuse age discrimination kind of makes me sick tbh. Wasn’t until I left that I realized that culture is not normal or healthy!

Don't think of it as "quietly quitting." Think of it instead as "quietly collecting..."

I knew at least two people who were running their own consultancy companies while employed at TR. They were basically on their mobiles most of day dealing with running their own companies and didn’t hide it well either.
They were still able to do their workloads at TR also 😀

@d6 Lately I've been noticing an attitude that if you're applying your own knowledge and expertise and not "letting Claude do it" you're violating TR's AI imperative and can't be trusted. Using our own judgment doesn't count anymore. It even seems to be a liability, so be very careful demonstrating any. Not without AI backup.

Not fully, but I do the absolute minimum. I actually tried for a while, but then it became clear that everyone has a different view of "doing things properly", and the team's average was basically "Let Claude do it!". That's when I stopped caring.

OP, you're not expecting people to feel bad for Corpo, are you?

@b8 sc--w your colleagues. colleagues ain’t feeding your family. And if it was between them or you they would throw you under the bus in a heart beat. Especially in a culture that TR created where colleagues are rated against eachother and stack ranked. Do what’s best for you and your family.

Good for them. You need to think about you and not the company. They will get rid of you without blinking. Also,if you are not getting any work to do it’s nice to keep busy. I feel like TR is silently laying people off.

@OP If someone is working another job while being paid at the same time by TR, that's unfair to the person's colleagues (I'm not going argue the policy or ethics thing because ...well....obviously...when you lay people off and require they train your foreign replacement....so they can underpay that foreign replacement....)

If it's a side hustle and you invest only the amount TR pays you for, then heck why not?
