I almost hate to ask, but in my defense, they keep changing the rules —and so I’m not quite sure where things are… here goes: they used to say that if you did not get a call by 9:00 am local time, you had another 2 weeks; has that changed? And confirm that terminations can be any time during any day of the week.

@hj Sorry that happened to you. When i was displaced, I was told that they would arrange for Fed-Ex to pick up my laptop. They did arrange it, but I never followed through on packing it or dropping it off. Risk for Stagecoach is not my concern any longer.
@b9 That's what happened to me back in March. No clue, warning, nothing. Just a 1/1 scheduled very early in the morning. But my immediate manager was a nasty thing.
Had a luncheon a week before being displaced. Then told a day before to make sure we bring in all equipment, you don't even have to login. Just sit and wait for it in a sense.
I've never felt so sick in my entire life.

I got let go today. No group meeting. A rescheduled 1-1 that was supposed to be later in the day. Just my manager and me.
External email is being disabled for everyone unless there is a business justification.
When risk had there’s 2 weeks ago, they had a call with the teams affected at 10am central. Though we spent the whole morning talking about who is going to be affected. We knew a site was getting wiped along with teams from others but didn’t know which one it was.
Mine came via a big group call (actually two groups lumped together), and it was definitely after 10AM Eastern. I think they wanted to wait until all the time zones were online before reading a script and acting miffed that people wanted to ask questions.

There is no set time. On a layoff day, managers are encore to speak to affected employees as early as possible. Part of that is to get the message out before employees notice some of the insider threats actions that went into effect the night before (can't print or send external emails, etc) or before other notifications begin to leak. So HR has managers go as soon as they can. There's also the constraint of full access being shut off by end of day as a fail safe.
So, there's not a set time you can say "no one called me by X time, so I'm safe this week."
