@kh HR is there to protect the company, not us employees. It's in the best interest of the Employer. So don't expect HR to be looking out for us. We're on our own.
HR is useless.. how is it they have gone largely untouched through the rounds of layoffs.
@kh that's the job.. i used to dislike them now I have no opinion . Its a job
@hq Even when there was there wasn't.
HR didn't do a damn thing except protect abusive management. That's all they were.
I'm not sure there is a HR anymore.
HR does come out at Tell Dell time to cherry pick the best comments.
BTW, I still have not received the results of Tell Dell from last year and now, so far, nothing this year.
HR is useless at Dell. They don't do anything and they don't know anything. Glorified welcoming party.
I think this has been debated to death here so once and for all.
1) "Stack ranking" exists all the time, whether there are any layoffs planned or not.
2) Whether they tap into that list happens quarterly.
3) For the past years, they've done so every single quarter.
The more relevant question would be whether there's any intel that layoffs are done, rather than whether they will happen at this point. Since it's sadly been good for the stock price, I'm betting on that it'll continue until the stock starts dropping significantly, because at the end of the day the people in the top layer just wants to make as much money as possible and don't give a sh-t about how that happens.
Stfu and get off this site, Dell stock is crushing it so comply or look for a new job.
Every day, once a day, lay somebody off. Don't think about it, don't plan it, just let it happen.
Dell doesn't have an HR dept.
