Athina Kanioura

All indications suggest she will be appointed as the next CEO, what do you think of her?

@163s absolutely. The fact that other super bright, competent, and inspirational leaders have left says EVERYTHING. She is a tyrant. Look at her org chart! Who has 35 direct reports??? Why does an executive member need to approve a 5k increase for an L6? She is a legal liability and isn’t showing any true positive business outcomes. Huge mistake giving her LatAm.

@162w she is a complete misfit and out of her league. She needs to be shown the door.

It is time we get a ballot vote of confidence for our leadership.

Watch what she posts… it’s always about her and her brand… she cares very little about the company or her people. She wanted operating experience and they gave her LatAm. She doesn’t want to hear challenging perspectives or POV’s. She wants people that praise her. Ram on the other hand knows that there are tons of people that challenge him and asks to continued to be challenged. He opens the mic and the floor to competing POV’s. First hand I can tell you that she is a horrendous leader and only wants to get to the top… wants a true CEO role. Woman doesn’t speak Spanish and now all her posts on LinkedIn are in Spanish since she got LatAm. She operates like a dictator and doesn’t care about churn and burn. She is visceral and belittles people all the time. How there aren’t multiple lawsuits against the company because of her behavior and antics are beside me…oh wait it’s because they were settled and hushed. The time is now to make Ram CEO and get rid of both Ramon and Athina. Ramon is non confrontational and Athina steamrolls over him. She is NOT the next CEO and they need to make moves soon because now some of the highest performers are leaving. Another year of cr-p merit increases and bonuses isn't going to go over well. She got paid handsomely to join the company and has little to show for it. All the “productivity” that she puts in her bucket is BS because the business has to absorb the costs since her process design and implementation always fall short. I hope before anyone thinks of her for a role they really do a proper due diligence on her because this was a BIG mistake. While we are still here have to try to make the best of it.

I can't understand anything she says, she should learn English

She isn’t a leader and should have never been put into this position or given more scope. She doesn’t know how to delegate, surrounds herself with “yes men”, doesn’t know how to operate a business. Academia and consulting— theory/theoretical is her wheelhouse. The board should force her out. The stock isn’t doing better and she’s been here for 5+ years implementing “strategy”. Get rid of her before she causes more damage.

She also has implemented policies in S&T that if you took a new role with a pay raise within the last year, then you are ineligible for an increase in March. And are ineligible to receive anything higher then a 3. Also if any employees have received a 4 rating for year end, she has to review and give final approval as if she is the president passing something form the senate or house. I don’t think someone who doesn’t know these employees or their work should have a say in whether their 4 rating is approved or not. If I could give her a negative rating I would lol

@109 well said!!! AK going from a lifelong academic to the consulting world does not make her fit to lead an in house transformation that carries her “vision” here. For consultants this works, as they have billed hours. But to act like this with salaried employees and expect them to bust their a55 for you… just doesn’t work

There is no engagement with S&T employees, no visibility, and frankly no traits she possesses that make her at least appear that she values and cares about her employees. If you cannot foster a culture where your employees will buy into a strategy and execute it together, then you have simply failed.

It’s time to show her the door, as CTSO, how transformational are you really? Stock price is fairly lateral over her 5 year tenure. Let alone the toxic (and braindead) LT that reports to her.

Anyways, she will unfortunately be cutting some S&T team members rather soon, when she should really be the one to go. I wish everyone best of luck and a happy holidays. Remember, life goes on and it gets better!!!

We should have G-yatri in the org to keep a check on Magesh and Dave.

I’ve yet to hear her say anything that motivates me or makes me think she cares about the people who work for her. I do hear her talk about wanting us to show that we care about her/her vision. But until that is reciprocated, she won’t gain loyalty from her minions. Being able to connect with the people who you depend on to execute your vision takes so much more than saying “do it because I said so.” When leaders learn this, companies will thrive.

PepsiCo has become slower, weaker and d-mber within last 5 years thanks to S&T.

@gp she would sell everything off and just keep brand name.
She will then ask Accenture for a strategy to make this happen and get the board to buy in.

Won't happen. She doesn't have experience with PepsiCo/Frito-Lay products. She would destroy both companies in the first 12 mos.

Being a despot with no vision makes her a great candidate for sure.

No credentials to be CEO.
Useless despot and no vision. Her loyalty is to Accenture and Indians
