Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Can we request a exit date change?

Can we request to change our date. I have seen some comments that suggest dates moved up or requested a change as well as withdrawing, no information like this has been shared in my department by our leadership. TIA

@m0 I see a lot of people got a 2027 date. I think the company want people to quit and forfeit their severance payout. I still haven’t gotten any reply back, so it looks like 11/27 will be the separation date.

@br I figured that’s what want to you do, I accepted my fate until November 2027. I’m going to touch base with them again today, hopefully I’ll get some type of response from them. I’ll let you.

Apparently we were just told we could appeal so they look like they are trying. We all just got the cut and paste HR email. When I asked for clarification, my response was another generic response. Sure feels like they just want everyone to quit to save them some more money.... there has to be another way, something else that can be done. This is such BS

Those in PHCO were told they could petition to change the date, but we all just got a denial letter that was copy and pasted to everyone who requested.

@bk LOL! The VSP line had a message that said it was no longer active as the deadline to accept the VSP has passed. There are no answers anywhere....

I called immediately after I got my date in 27, I’m ready to retire now! VSP referred me to HR, VSP said there was noting they could do it was determined by Centene. HR said no and referred me back to VSP, so I opened an HR ticket, was told to talk to my PL. PL said there was nothing they could do. Now, I certainly think a PL could speak to the powers that be and try. Then I was told it was based on business needs and I’m a SME and needed. I gave up and accepted my fate. I know of those who want to keep their jobs, but got the involuntary package. I’m fortunate that I don’t. I’d gladly trade places with someone who needs to stay.

Nope. They want you to quit prior to the exit date you have been given so nothing is paid out. It was done on purpose.
No one can get the date changed

@ah

"The VSP line is no longer active."

Well now that's encouraging.
Maybe Drew disconnected it on his way out?

I was told that your PL would need to speak with our Human Resources Business Partner, I wanted to see if I can get my date changed from November 2027 to sooner. I’m still waiting on an answer on this.

I have the same question. I attempted to call HR today, but there is a message saying they are unavailable and there is not an option to leave a vm. The message referred me to Max. I asked Max and the feedback was to call HR. The VSP line is no longer active. I'll try HR daily until I can ask the question.
