Thread regarding BD (Becton Dickinson & Co.) layoffs

So will it be September or December?

So what are we all hearing with regard to the next round.....can we expect the typical fiscal year purge or will they wait until December to give some lovely holiday cheer.....? What're you hearing? Who's out?

Well now that Denise is gone - that's a sure signal that more layoffs are on the way - guessing we will hear about them sooner rather than later.....seems APM won't be saving anyone....place is disintegrating

@ew Can you get a copy of this list? I would love to see how much long I have to wait. Hope I’m next in line. And why not just offer early retirement? Would be so much easier for BD and the employees

Those macro decisions are already taken. Every 'associate' has a ranking, along with their pictures and age (rip old white guys). Once the 'order' comes in, they follow the spreadsheet and execute the plan (you). If you are half-decent and stuff starts going bad after your unfortunate departure, they will actually rehire you. It can happen a few times, ironically—you get used to this insanity.

For the love of God, pls do it sooner rather than later—WATCH TIME (the newest buzz word)!!!! Myself and many other long timers are struggling and suffering and completely checked out. Lack of direction, terrible management, je-ked from one unnecessary project to another to another and never finishing any of them.

@a4 not sure I'd bank on that rise....its sad how awful things have gotten. Burnout is real and good people get abused, overused and under appreciated. Good luck to those in your BU - may those that want them get decent packages. It will be interesting to see if anyone has any predictions on layoffs - I'd find it hard to believe they'd let the rest of the year go by without another round

With stock price finally on the rise I expect they are breathing a sigh of relief. Regardless of layoffs there are a lot of people looking to retire out or seek other opportunities. At my BU everyone is burnt out or gasping for air.
