@db Where did you hear Sept 30? Everything has been Sept 16th.
@z0 I've never met anyone in the HR space who ever added any value. Ever. The same goes for recruiters, too; both in-house and those shady third-party ones that scrub LinkedIn and string you along.
@106 the truth hurts my friend. We’re all in this sh*t show together unfortunately
@z0 Friendly Id--t Recruiter,
If you are a real recruiter, SHAME ON YOU!

40% of companies posted fake job listings in 2024 — now lawmakers in multiple states are moving to ban them:

HR folks are in the same boat as any other employee. We check these forums as much as the rest of you for possible news of layoffs. We are not immune, HR colleagues are being laid off the same as the rest of the business (mass redundancies). HR hate this process/re org the same as anyone else.
HR also have a process and rules to follow, so don’t take things personally. People are just doing their job.
Recruiters dont post ghost jobs, the level of approvals managers require to have a headcount approved is insane and can take weeks/months.
Recruiters only post the jobs when all the approvals have come through. So for people saying ghost jobs, sorry to hear your bitterness, you just weren’t selected for interview. Keep trying.
Regards,
A friendly Recruiter
@p6 According to a headcount report I saw recently, HR is down 3000+ positions over the last three years. They are being impacted as well. No one is immune to this
@p6 targeted communication went out to managers letting them know to engage hr through the automated ticketing system. We no longer have business aligned hr reps. Yet another sign citi is in the sh----r now
Many of those jobs got shipped overseas anyway. Just another layer of caste favoritism, backdoor nepotism, and compliance fraud. Enjoy the circus.
Let's be real about HR recruiters actually do: Their entire paycheck is funded by lying to job seekers. Citi recruiters are out here posting ghost jobs and fake openings just to massage hiring managers' egos. It’s an absolute mafia and Jane Fraser and the board are completely clueless or just don't give a damn.
HR also wastes their time here, Citi plans to cut them too! I have been here decades, can't name a HR person and haven't encountered one in 10 years.
@db svp level and above?
The beatings will continue until morale improves!
I heard September 30th for Risk. Many managers will be let go.
HR does not frequent this board except to learn if they’re being laid off as well.
September 16th will be a blood bath, idk about other locations but San Antonio has had almost no entry level or starting position open for most of the year only b11/c11 or higher position.
I heard the 16th
Personally hoping to be among the Sept 16th RIF event. Haven't done or contributed nothin' in months. Except perhaps for Lay6off comments that seem to upset some of y'all. I'm important and ride free on my past accomplishments which were marketed heavily thank you. Y'all should take note and do the same.
