Is it pay? Job security? Something else?

@2z1 anyone who thinks this is an open forum is crazy because people can request that things be deleted if they get too spicy or personal.
Why are comments being deleted? Who is authorizing that?
@2k5 They don't care about your education. Keep answering those phones and making the big money for the C Suite
@2b5 what was this announcement
@2gs customer service.
Well I thought I could have at least bumped up a position after three and half years with multiple degrees and knowledge. Hcsc is like a giant ship at sea. It has lots of rooms and the storms are getting worse. Do I jump ship and face the sharks in a pool of the unknown or do I stay aboard and weather the storm until we get to land? People are falling off the ship and those left are in denial of the storms coming out way. If I do jump I at least want a life jacket or even better my own boat so I can happily sail away from the sinking ship. Maybe that boat is annologous to another job but at this point if I quit I'm only 5 dollars away from minimum wage so really it's all up from here.
@18n since you can’t say their name, what org are they in?
Did you all see her big moon face in the Alsi announcement?
@18n had to look her up on the org chart. She sounds charming
@17r let me guess- that person’s initials are MC?
She’s a toxic waste dump wherever she goes.
Sick of people who have NEVER worked in a customer service role being allowed to manage those who do. Telling CA's that 2 chats at a time are normal, and if you are pausing than that is "time theft". Retirement from this company is just a myth now - get out before you end up with PTSD.
@yr last week I had multiple calls with cameras on- the sound was poor, several people got dropped. Our technology is always the cheapest and oldest. Don’t even get me started on the garbage laptops. The entire company is held together with duct tape and prayer.
@xx No, not only how you feel- it is a fact. You are not alone! For anyone who has been around for a while, and pre-COVID, it is undeniable- do more with less, 100% is not enough, why has your mouse not moved for the last minute! The micromanaging on top of the “hiring freeze”/no backfills, outdated systems, cut in benefits and PTO, inadequate HR, and push for quantity over quality— is apparent to everyone. Do NOT let anyone make you feel small or that it’s only you who feels this way!
@sz Could you expand for those of us who are unaware? I’m genuinely interested. One would assume corporate debt would be in the name of impressive upgrades and innovative technology. Which, is clearly not the problem at hand. Failures of hardware, software, systems- all the things- disturb our day to day processes. That alone is wasted time and money. How much are these cameras costing the company? And like many have already mentioned- we do not possess the bandwidth necessary for large TeAmS meetings with maybe 4-5 folks on camera!
@v7 and AI has to be monitored. And we are too cheap to do that.
No replacing people who left, but the work was still there so expectations kept increasing, I was doing more work, and working a lot of extra hours to make up for less staff only to be rated as meeting expectations and given an average raise. In the meantime the company reduced what they were offering, they offered no more than what was required for pto and carryover time, our health and dental plan selections were not as good as what they used to be. They expected way more but I felt less appreciated and less compensated.
Why on earth would more AI implementation be a good thing. You are seeing all the big players draw down from AI due to its exorbitant costs and underwhelming returns.
@sz The technical debt is real and it's going to get worse.
The lack of AI implemented is scary
If you think 2026 was tough, 2027 is going to be burnout city. Smoke em if you got em
No longer in growth mode, everyone starves - no travel, no group activities, no development, higher workload as folks leave, and yet Senior leadership continues to make bank. A for profit would’ve removed them a long time ago. The technical debt on the IT systems, the greed and the family connections is too great a force to overcome. Realize life is not fair, but HCSC of years ago felt like there was opportunity. Reputational damage is disappointing to what was a great company.
Hiring freeze on the type of position I wanted to move into, toxic senior manager, increased workload as the positions in my team that were vacated due to toxic senior manager were not backfilled due to hiring freeze, had to fight tooth and nail to be able to use my tuition reimbursement for development classes that directly benefited my output. My toxic senior manager also having made an enemy of alot of people during her almost 40 years at hcsc, made it really hard to collaborate with other teams. and on top of all that I was severely underpaid.
Too heavy of a workload. I did not have time to be good at anything anymore. The focus on doing more with less ultimately means the customers are getting shorted somehow.
@OP incompetence
@OP toxicity & no opportunity to work in areas where I can flourish and make an impact. Passive-aggressive behavior. Money is nice but you want to work with supportive managers and coworkers.
