Thread regarding Solventum layoffs

Lawyers out

I don’t usually feel sorry for lawyers, but the latest fun at this place is now an inexplicable reshuffling of lawyers. But not really reshuffling—firing good lawyers for no reason instead of giving them a shot at the new job titles they’re totally qualified for. Hire new people! Put people first! Be super-stupid! Nice work, Solvsrs.

I think that no one is choosing to acknowledge the elephant in the room that is the leadership of the legal team. This is another example of the blame game that follows everywhere the CLO shows up, rather than accepting responsibility or learning how to practice law, she finds someone else to blame for her gross incompetence.

Hearing subs in some G7 countries now have no legal counsel. What an absolute joke. If you needed a sign that this company is being positioned to be sold off piece by piece or taken over, this is it! Get out while you can.

@bs for all the complaints about 3M, they always played a long game. There was a universal recognition that IP and the technology were what made us. Therefore, they’d likely leave that be to keep the patent machine running, Now, who knows but it’s not a long game nor is it on new technologies or products as a vision.
