Thread regarding Henry Schein Inc. layoffs

I heard the next round is coming up, can anyone confirm.

@12xs we are. But I bet you that this place loses the new TSMs too. Voluntarily. It’s just a matter of time before the younger start walking. Once they realize they can all do better, this place will be in a HR crisis.

@12w0 well articulated. I am glad to never have to see anybody from this company’s leadership team another day of my life. They won’t be here long anyway.

@12w0 We're the lucky ones near or at retirement age. I pity those that have 10 years or more of working left. This company will be long gone and AI is replacing most of the office jobs out there.

@12bz there is nobody left to “butt kiss.” This place is a hollowed out, soulless machine. I don’t know all the leaders that were just fired personally, but I do know Jim and he was the last line of the good of what Henry Schein was. This place is toast and we are the lucky ones who are being given severance because the feedback from those staying is more sad than this thread will ever be. This company had the audacity to survey the people staying and expected it to be positive. Clueless leaders making id--tic decisions driven by algorithms and PE.

@12c8 Not really when you do the math. Example say at 62 you get 2,300 a month. Waiting till 63 will get you an extra 100 or so a month. But you lost over 27k by not collecting that whole year.

@12bz would you have done better if you waited until after the severance ran out? Im 62 but getting the full 12 months i was going to wait until next year I'll be 63 63 and a half...

@11bb Got my first social security check since leaving that woke place. Couldn't be happier getting laid off at 62. Collecting severance for 52 weeks and social security is a beautiful thing. Didn't realize how much I disliked Schein over the last few years. Retirement is living, no more butt kissing. Just had to get this off my chest.

@10yw All you have to do is follow the money. New guy gets a big check for cutting expenses. Senior leadership is so busy looking at their P&L, stock price and shuffling money between different entities to prop up bogus gains that they have lost total sight of the customer satisfaction and customer experience. If you want cheap low quality Chinese made stuff at insanely high prices and a totally messed up back office experience call HS.

@10yd it's a mess. I would quit if I didn't care about severence I know we'll eventually get laid off. They are working the couple of us left in A/R to death. These Indians are clueless using AI to disguise their accents. Customers keep asking for reps that were let go. Complete cluster F**k, and the managers refuse to open their mouths about it. KKR and the bozo CEO are destroying this company.

@10xk A/P is having it's own issues. I'm in A/R and it's a total disaster. They have no idea what they're doing.

@10tj This India transfer has become a nightmare failure. Whomever planned this should be fired. They are sc--wing up big time.

@zs2 This India deal is not working out. Customers are complaining about not having their familiar A/R reps. Many are saying they don't want to deal with India and will take their business elsewhere. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't call back those let go. This company has become a joke.

It’s clear that the new CEO is just doing KKR’s asks. Sad to watch.

@z8n Remember KKR is gaining more and more control of the company as time passes. KKR is not interested in Schein itself they want money, Typical investment firm just takes till there's nothing left then sells off the scraps.

Today was the death of anything left of what made this place what it was when Teddy was here.

@z7n The layoffs coming are company-wide, affecting both corporate and subsidiary operations. Departments that will be fully outsourced by years end are customer service and accounts receivable, while sales support, dropship, and medical order entry are being gradually reduced into 2027. This release is from KKR.

Today’s announcement? This place will be sold within a year. Shameless, sad, and preventable.

@z7e Not so, there is a team of about 8 that are handling the large accounts. I hear those accounts are not being outsourced, at least not yet.

@z32 Only till Fall. This is to give time for India to fully adjust. A/R will be 100% outsourced by at the latest Fall. There are only 2 left in Melville.

@xt5 A/P as well. All of the US based reps are gone already. The OP360 team in the Philippines goes in a few weeks weeks then it will be all gone. Keeping a few supervisors and management for a little bit after that

@xt5 Well India went live Monday, they are now running A/R and customer service. The few of us left will most likely get our walking papers next month.

@x40 Heard from a manager yesterday in Melville that next round of Lay offs will be early August with last day end of September.

@x3p OMG! YES! THAT HANDSHAKE! And, yet, he couldn't hurt a soul. You just dont see people like him every day. No one had any idea what his job was there except to boost morale perhaps and je was great at that

@x3p My last few weeks there I was telling customers what was going on. Most were very upset, some said they'll be taking their business elsewhere. Many said well then if they're getting cheap labor they should be cutting their prices, I laughed, said they have an investment company slowly taking over and all they care about is profits.

@wyv He had a handshake like a steel trap. I remember when they announced he died. When that email landed you could hear a gasp on the floor.

So many TSM's feeling uneasy. We regularly communicate with the people who will ultimately replace us.

Loyal customers and TSM'S growing more and more frustrated with this transition as everyone's daily duties and responsibilities become increasingly more difficult due to the numerous types of barriers being thrusted upon our daily work lives.

Writing is on the wall.

@wkv What a joke my manager tells me we're safe don't worry,lol. I'm customer service I show her a printout of the lay off schedule and she says well I was told that we were safe. Lying though her teeth. Customer Service and Accounts Receivable (A/R) are being fully outsourced to India by Fall. It's all over the internet and business news, Can't wait to see her get the boot.

Packing up my computer in the morning. Someone suggested i throw my team schein award in there with it. I'm on the fence. I got it over 20 years ago, when it actually meant something. Wish I could find teddy's polaroid...
