Thread regarding PNC layoffs

😂😂😂 DO NOT COMPLY

😂😂😂😂 no one is on my floor today. It is so empty! I am going home now - guess I missed the memo that RTO is optional.

DO NOT COMPLY! Bill’s gonna cry!

@101 im curious what happens next year. Wonder if rto gets mentioned again, new rules and regulations. If people havent come in yet, they wont be this year. Its all just stupid

@x8 that’s what i mean, the 5x a week announcement came off as mandatory and theoretically is, but if they are going to let people do whatever they want then is it really? What’s the point of evening complying to something that is “mandatory” if people can WFH with nothing happening. It makes the people coming in 5x a week or most of the week look like the a$$holes for complying.

@x3 doesnt seem truly mandatory. You can say they said 5 days, but when majority never come in?

@wx and it is not mandatory now? lol It’s mandatory but people are going to do what they want if they can get away with it without repercussions.

Simply put, people will work remote, or less than 5 days until its made mandatory. Can they afford to get rid of people right now? I doubt it, but what do i know

yeah i am finding it very difficult to come in 5x a week when people decide they are going to work remotely. There are people i haven’t seen in months. why even bother complying if I can just work from home with no repercussions.

Yesterday half way through my drive to the office and I realized I didn’t bring my collared shirt (I never wear it in the car since it’s hot out). I decided it wasn’t worth driving back home to get it since no one on my team is in my office and I rarely see anyone any way. So I spent the day in the office in a t shirt. Not a single person saw me. I walked to the break room twice, the printer twice, the bathroom and never crossed paths with anyone. I hate this RTO and its absolutely pointless. Tomorrow I’m wearing beach attire

@n6 most are just not coming in now or doing 2 or 3 days instead of 5. No one cares, way more to life than sitting in an office for PNC bank 5 days a week.

@n6 ..but..but... they told us orange rocket was a success?! Wasnt it a success? All those fields have relationships to other tables right?! Changes and Incidents relate back to business records, RIGHT!? All the legacy reports were migrated over RIGHT!??!

@df well the new ServiceNow has been rolled out and it is nothing but problem after problem. Last I heard there were over 11k incidents open. People have nothing to do so they might as well waste their time at home versus listening to Stacy and George babble all day on teams calls. Back to school is here and employees are finding it very difficult to juggle rto5 and taking kids to/from school. Many of these employees had children during the pandemic and WFH was a solution to raise them and get them to school thereafter. But now that the kids are old enough for school and WFH has been axed, the employee has a decision to make. All because of a data-less, buzzword-filled, 1990’s-thinking, mandatory RTO5 policy. Actually the policy is to protect the business real estate investments.

Feel like the dam broke this week. We are back to hybrid for all intents and purposes!

Bill’s assistant here. Per his walk-through, he’s pointed out that the empty office is now using less water than the datacenter running the RTO compliance dashboard, and he’s not sure how he feels about that. He’s yelling ‘hydrate the mission’ at a chair.
