@gp Greenville needs help. Failed leadership. We had years of stability and now we have cutthroat people in power. HC needs to go! Looking forward to the pending email announcing the re-org.

Yup. My group lead attempted to overturn my positive performance evaluations from 5 programs last year by going to HR and attempting to introduce false information... when that didnt work she went to my previous group lead to try and get him to do it.. that didnt work so her and another employee created a fake performance evaluation about me in attempt to get it introduced to my file after the evaluations had already been submitted. Finally myself, my previous GL, and program reps went to HR to report the nonsense...

After all that got reported to HR the conclusion was she was "doing her job".... no one on the programs had a negative thing to say.. she simply just hasn't been a fan of me since I began at the company and for some reason leadership knowing her multiple attempts to degrade my performance, raise false accusations, and just down right start drama still thought it would be a great idea to make her my group lead. So since we're all bein' silly may as well let everyone know now lol

@r4

As a fellow senior engineer told me before he left: "the culture here feels like I'm stuck in some never-ending re--rded, inbred high school reunion".

I happen to fully agree.

This hit HARD like a MFer!

This is exactly how it is now across all L3H sites.

Unqualified/low performance friends and family of management are the only ones "succeeding" at L3H.

"SUC" is exactly what they are doing to be a Trusted Disruptor!

i'm coming up on two decades of service with Harris (well, if you can still even call it Harris), and unfortunately I have gotten two comfortable here.

I've started my job search recently and even though it's a tough market, it's worth the effort to leave.

Over the last 4-5 years, it's really transformed into a place that was results and mission driven to just a total facade of "innovation" and placing shareholder value above everything.

As a fellow senior engineer told me before he left: "the culture here feels like I'm stuck in some never-ending re--rded, inbred high school reunion".

I happen to fully agree.

@be I am a level 6 and this is unfortunately very true. I am legacy Harris and life was much better years ago.
My recommendation to all engineers is to constantly be looking for other opportunities. The job market will change and when it does, jump.

@h4 I have witnessed this practice first hand in Clifton. Managers not only keeping a file, but in many cases actual photographs taken of work done by technicians. Rather than correct mistakes made early, they accumulate photographs and files to "build a case" for firing that employee they don't like. This has been going on for years. If you get on the wrong side of someone at that location, they will set you up for failure by not making you aware of mistakes you have made until it is too late. There is a front line supervisor assistant manager whatever you want to call her who has been engaging in this practice for decades. Because she checks off all the right boxes, and because she is useful at getting rid of problematic employees, management turns a blind eye to illegal practices. The last manager that engaged in this practice escaped Justice only to be revisited by it 5 years after he retired. What management and employees could not do, karma did for them.

@gp Keeping a "secret" file on an employee is illegal. I'm surprised at the arrogance (or stupidity) in keeping an actual physical file. Getting proof can be problematic. Any suggestion of wrongdoing by management leads to them putting their wagons in a circle with you on the outside.

Is L3Harris Human Resources aware that rank and file managers and leaders (ie: "McNair") have their own set of HR files on employees within their division? This has been verified by several both current and former employees from the Greenville, TX facility. Perhaps L3Harris Corporate and Local HR should audit Ms. McNair's desk and review the contents of her employee "side" files to review for personal bias against certain past and current employee whose gender and race affected her treatment. Good HR rule of thumb should result in an unannounced review of what local managers are retaining to ensure compliance with L3Harris' HR policies. L3 is primed for a Class Action Lawsuit.

@e0 You're better off not engaging in any conversations like that. If possible, avoid those meetings all together. If you are forced to attend one, keep your comments generic and unremarkable. Use one syllable answers whenever possible. Don't ever let this leadership know what you really think or what you are planning. Never tell them you are leaving. Quietly make your plans. And when the time is right, leave without notice.

Yeah had a ridiculous conversation with management today who asked if I was happy and I informed them I was looking elsewhere due to their mistreatment and acting that I am not a valued member if the team even though ive been given multiple lead roles... and he just looked at me and said "yeah, well thanks for letting me know" ... what on earth is wrong with this company they are all drinking the same KoolAid.

You didn't say how long you've been there. For many of us senior employees, we were part of a successful organization that was acquired by Harris and then L3.
Moving on was challenging for those of us with a lot of time invested. We saw our compensation dwindle and our leadership become more hostile with each acquisition and each merger. The current iteration of this company is not how we began our careers. Fortunately, we will be leaving soon.
My advice is this: Don't get into a comfortable groove. "A groove as one wears away at it becomes a rut, and finally, a grave".
Cut your small losses before they become big ones and get out of here.
