I have been with Schwab for 6 years, and still do not understand why people think that they are nice to each other?
There is not a day that goes by without people being rude, not doing what they promised, or just ignoring emails.

Never worked at a company with so many socially awkward people.
This team isn't passive-aggressive; it's straight fraud.
Oh boy, then you have never seen tool teams on an LOB , which deals with different tools. It is pathetic. At least other teams have the same STEM background on an H-1. This LOB is handled by many vendors: people with non-STEM backgrounds. I have seen many cases where these pathetic and incompetent people were sent to Canada so they could come back after doing EB1-C green card fraud.
How come they are non-STEM? You can also do:
Create a scraper to look up LinkedIn.
Collect the data and keep filtering.
Filter with MA, BA, economics, geography, law, etc.
Search in Outlook.
I am not saying we should collect the data and do a snail mail to the DOL.
The passive aggressiveness is all driven by fear. Plenty of people that have no transferrable skills and have no chance of getting a job outside Schwab. The only way they can look good, is to make others look bad.
Sa but true
Schwab isn’t a nice culture, leaders openly tell about one another and blaming for no needed reason. Meetings are quiet and all seem on edge.
Toxic workplace
There is absolutely no collaboration within Schwab. Most people are so afraid to be laid off that they do not help others or share information. There are exceptions, but they are few.
@bm "Passive aggression." Perfect word for the team I used to work in at Schwab, which was known as O2. Pure toxic and piece of sh-t team. If any contractor works there, they can have a feeling of this: "You're good until you're not. No communication, no explanation, just bo-m." Hope AI and GCC end this team's long stint in Schwab.
I have never worked for a company where people are do disrespectful to others, and it is accepted. Passive aggressiveness and backstabbing are the norms.
It will only get worse with AI and the GCC taking over thousands of jobs in the next year or so.
Schwab nice doesn’t exist anymore. But people still use the excuse of “Schwab nice” because they haven’t faced reality.
It’s about a time years ago when your coworkers wanted you to succeed and helped you to do so. Now, it’s gotten too toxic and you have leaders sabotaging their team and others out of fear. If my team out performs me, then they don’t need me… so they push out top performers, cause unnecessary hurdles.
So stop saying Schwab nice and call it passive aggression.
The best lies are the most absurd. Saying we're nice covers a multitude of sins.
Schwab nice is really just about obedience.
