Did they auto assign seat for you or did you get to pick your seat? I would hate to have to sit to a loud talker or someone eating microwave fish next to you

It depends on the hub, they're each doing their own thing based on the space available.
No matter where you sit in most offices, it is disgusting and people have no manners or cares for anything. And people that keep asking for assigned seating can most likely prepare for a five day work week.
Layoff site - mumbles about having an assigned seat while employed
Is anyone surprised they f'ed this up? When RTO first started each MC was given a general area and that is where you could reserve a desk
For this change they asked your preferred cube but didn't follow through at all and I got placed in some random area.
This happened so fast I am guessing some poor soul got assigned this task and just slapped it together. I would like to know if any of my managers were given a chance to weigh in or if they even cared to weigh in.
As usual it has been a sh-tshow. If you are happy with your cube now you should seriously hope they don't go to assigned seating. It's a pain dragging your supplies every day but at least I can sit where I want.
Some locations have seating that is all standard and good equipment, while others are just cobbled together leftovers. It's mind boggling during the initial roll out of RTO they didn't correct this.
You don’t get to choose. And each day one person will be removed from the office either by winning tasks, votes from your peers or from mysterious higher powers until only 1 winner remains just like on Locked Upp season 2 on Netflix #teamshreyakalra
“Workplace Excellence” is terrible. Assigned seating has been done ridiculously bad. At least before you could find a work station that worked for you. Instead they are crowding everyone into areas that are like a call center and very loud and cheap. There was no reason to do it except to pretend like you’re “listening to feedback”. Such liars. It is evident that GK, EB and Corporate Properties want people to quit by giving you a third world work environment.
I’m requesting to sit next to a vegetarian
@ad this is hilarious, thanks for the laugh!
@OP The seats will be auto-assigned to foster an environment of collaboration and excellence. Just like when you were in school and your teachers picked your seats.
Sitting next to loud talkers is part of good in office collaboration culture. You might overhear something and ask to join the meeting and share your thoughts. This is the in office culture we are striving for at US Bank India.
Perhaps if you smell some fish or curry being eaten near you, a colleague will offer you some to try, or a recipe. This is how lasting friendships are formed! If you don't like it leave because you are the problem.
When you fill out your year end review we want to see notes that you joined conversations you overheard and shared sack lunches with fellow colleagues. Simply showing up isn't enough.
If you complain we can easily find someone in india who is willing to collaborate for 1/5th of the cost.
Praise gunjan!
You get to choose
I would hate to have to sit to a bootlicker like you.
@a1 you can predict it cause only a je-k in general would be comfortable eating fish in a cubicle seating area ! And I am a huge fish lover !
How can you predict when or if the person next to you will eat fish for lunch?
