Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

So couple things to drop here, only a handful of states can be processed offshore due to HP restrictions. Outside that AI isn't something that can easily remove everyone over night. Projects will probably be one of the last groups removed due to the specialty of the work they do. However with that said I do believe that in the next 2-5 years a lot of claims will probably move over to AI. Simply because for business it makes sense, but even more so Sarah London has stated on interviews that it is a goal. With that being said there were reports of several claims processing companies already regretting the full switch to AI, and more than likely Centene will choose to make it a slower process to insure a slow transition.

@ef needed for a long time because the project analyst have to fix the claims that process incorrectly and it's going to get more messy when AI and outsource handles the claims is why I am saying that this specific department might be safe for a longer time. It's going the be a bigger mess and someone's going to have to readjust the massive amount of claims that were incorrectly handled.

I mean if you paid attention, when the VP's and higher had meetings with you individually (who had nothing to do with your area) and only wanted to know what programs you use and what other departments depend on your work..... They taped the calls and then let AI data mine it for key words aka key programs. THAT explained it all to me. We are no longer "needed for a very long time" because AI has already been being trained on claims processing and analysis.

“process more claims with AI and overseas” … 🤔 … more like offshore and use Ai as a veneer for manual claim analysis. It’s the same playbook, leadership just has a new word to jazz it up.
