Thread regarding Fidelity National Information Services Inc. layoffs

The culture of fear

I'm the only one on my team who isn't terrified of losing their job. Everyone else is a robot, keeping their head down, acting submissive, silent, and never pushing back. It's depressing to see.

Don't be so harsh on them. It's been 4 months I was laid off and I still can't land a job and I didn't even get severance. My savings are dwindling and possibility of home foreclosure. May end up on the streets.

I used to be that way, but now F it. Do I want to be released and start over - No. But I'm also done worrying about what I can't control. No one should have to be in a panic every time they receive an email or their boss wants to speak with them, but if it's truly impacting your mental health, start looking elsewhere while you still have a job now. Unfortunately it's not just here where layoffs are occurring.

Same on my team, a bunch of cowards really. It's pathetic. Now they are refusing to let me do my actual job, my title's been messed up for 2 years which they refuse to fix, putting very senior level people under jr manager that's a yes man do boy after they threw all this stuff over the fence at his previous manager and he quit, but yet no internal investigation. No options, no reqs open anywhere, no movement, no delivery, and these id--ts still can't even articulate what they need done with their fake deadlines. I've never seen a more pathetic company or group of people in my life.
