Calling out sick-will this impact my severance? Particularly on the last day. Note that I am in a state that has sick time laws and anti retaliation laws on the books.

@b2 please take care of you.
SPRING HEALTH is free for the 1st few visits. You can find it under HealthyPathways and I'm not sure how much longer you're employed w/Centene, but use the resource as much as possible.
Let Centene pay for a couple of BH telehealth appointments. <3
your last day should be nothing but confirming you have everything you need before you log off. updating Workday, emailing any important documents related to severance and benefits to yourself, etc. clearing out personal documents you may have saved.
my work should be winding down this week and I will have two weeks to go. I’ll be available if needed and still attending calls, but all my projects and transition documentation will be done.
just attend until the very end.
@a4 I did use 4 hours vacation time the day after I was let go because I felt sui-idal and had to go but that was approved and I had no idea of any severance. I left 2 hours in the bucket. At this point. I don’t give a rats a-s.
In the package it say you can use sick time even in last two weeks
@OP There are caveats written in the severance guide you should have received, which allows sick time to be used if it meets the requirements of the company policy. However, I would not recommend using sick time on your last day. You never know, maybe your PL will let you sign off early that day. I'd be shocked if you were told to do much on your last day.
@OP I would not. Forfeit the sick time. Not worth losing your severance. I realize with all the emotions that come with a layoff it is tempting. But be the bigger person. SL will not always be in charge and you may want to go back. Never burn a bridge.
Can I ask why you would even risk giving Centene an opportunity to potentially not pay your severance? Genuine question.
