I just Effin love how they delete questions.
Whoever that HR woman is, you give absolutely no warm and fuzzy feelings to everyone who feels unsafe or unsure in this environment.

HR people typically have super easy majors. Like BA mass communications. They often were VERY popular at parties, wink.
It is sad, but true that those who majored in things that required calc 1-4, diffy Q, vectors, discrete end up working for the less intelligent who majored in “business”.
More think about it, I think I was the stupid one who busted my … with a real STEM degree. Hmmmm.
HR are pros at gaslighting. I know what they did in regards to merit/bonus et cetera.
@ac and unless you're looking to save money by sending jobs 12 hours away to India. Then it's ok to not have in-person collaboration
Interesting leadership principle: remote work is apparently a barrier to career growth... unless you're the one enforcing the policy from a remote location.
My question was also deleted (but wasn't heavily upvoted). I get it if I say something especially spicy but this time was just about general overextension & process churn, nothing punchy. My takeaway is the following: we are going to send your jobs to India so fück you (good for their country, traitorious for us), we don't give a sh-t what you think or what you're dealing with in your day-to-day, & nobody is getting promoted or compensated correctly indefinitely because well we can pay foreigners much less so better watch your tone!
That HR lady is a liar too. I literally got promoted myself mid-cycle many many moons ago. They just don't do that anymore 'now', similar to how they've gutted other retention & free-will aspects of this once great company.
I'm struggling to reconcile what Ed is saying with what's happening on the ground.
@a4 these days? Sir, HR is where a$$holes have been ending up forever.
That Tech HR lady puts the "hypocrisy" in Hypocrisy Resources. She's the one who lays down the law in regards on RTO yet is remote. Also refused to answer the promotion hold question ("talk to your manager"). No wonder why no one trusts and has zero respect for everyone in HR these days.
The only thing this company truly excels at is showing just how little it cares about its employees. Just like the Talk to Us surveys, I completely ignore these All Company/All Employee calls. They are completely meaningless and just a "check the box" activity for these clueless tone-deaf managers.
