Is it worth applying for other roles? Ive been here just a tad over a year and my supervisor said theyre not hiring for the rest of this year, but she didn’t answer when i asked about applying to other roles internally

@OP Yes, it is worth it. Hurry while you're still able to access the career page and so you don't fall into the bucket with External applicants.
@eb PLs automatically receive a notification when you apply internally. However, if selected for an interview, you have to tell your PL that you are being interviewed. Nothing more than that per the policy... and it only needs to be the first interview for a position, not the additional interviews for it. It's up to you to divulge specifics.
Yes apply!!!!! I was rif in may but had applied to another role before i was rif. I literally applied days b4 they froze all the jobs. Then i interviewed days before my separation date, got severance, enjoyed my summer with pay and came back 5 weeks later in a new role. Almost like 5 weeks of pto 🤣🤣🤣🤣
If you've been here for a year you can apply. The policy just states that you have to inform your PL that you applied.
I am currently interviewing for another open position within another department at Centene. Not sure why your manager would say Centene isn't hiring as there are currently about 300 open positions.

@OP sounds like you should apply no matter what to save yourself from that horrible supervisor!
If anything, it will give you more interview experience.
APPLY!!!!! what are they going to do, fire you?
