@jq I will not be wasting my time attending that call. The company insistes it needs me at every VR application. Yet I've hardly done anything all year! Unless attending status calls is the job? But they can't see it. I'm bored of the BS as well. But sure, I can fill in my time sheet and click next on some mandatory training if that's all they want doing. There's no point learning AI. They won't let me leave the account and new jobs don't want people wet from a poor online tutorial.

@OP Thoughts? How about please just approve my VR application? I can’t stand any more of this jobs-for-the-boys B S. I’m sure the good people still at DXC don’t give 2 hoots about more made up roles that do absolutely nothing to improve this dying company. They can’t even be bothered with the annual pay review charade anymore. The Town Hall on 10th Sept will be more of the same.

Chris Drumgoole ceased being DXC's President of Global Infrastructure Services on July 30, 2026. Dan Gray has that job now. But there is not yet good public evidence that Drumgoole has completely departed DXC or started the outside position DXC announced.
And there's something else a little unusual here: DXC publicly announced that he was leaving for an “elevated leadership role outside the company” without saying where he was going. Nearly a month later, that destination still isn't readily public.
That makes me curious whether the outside job hasn't started yet, hasn't been announced yet, or changed after DXC's July 30 announcement. We don't have enough evidence yet to say which

The announcement made the share price go up. That's all they care about. Now it can go down again and someone can win short selling the stock. Then the execs can buy more and make another announcement, let it rise and sell. It seems like a perfect game to me. What can we announce this week. Meanwhile real people have no idea what's going on and if they will have a job next week - so continue to keep teams active, doing as little as possible and realised they don't need the money as they don't have the confidence to spend it anyway. So it's all irrelevant noise.

Truly we've assembled the dream team.

How can we lose, other IT Services companies are probably considering throwing in the towel now after this announcement.

Hopefully he will bring in sweeping changes, mostly centered around laying off anyone over 50 to help drive their new AI focus. This suits me. I have literally done nothing but attend status calls for 2 months. It's draining doing nothing like this. The client believes that they are paying for a backup and insurance. I can tell you now. I have no idea what you're doing so it can still wait for when they other guy gets back in next week.
