@fa unionizing has pros and cons. And I keep hearing it but nobody is trying to do it.
A shame pictures of work conditions are not disclosed to the media outlets. That would activate outside agencies to go in and audit CUSA with a proctoscope. Perhaps it will pave the way to unionize. Physical working conditions and constant micromanaging would face scrutiny. It's time HR protect employees instead of defending and enabling the ghetto and sweatshop mentality that has defined CUSA since Sammy Sun took over. But I won't hold my breath.
This has nothing to do with the safety and comfort of employees. They are just trying to protect themselves against an unexpected OSHA inspection and the impending fines. This is absolutely pathetic and shameful. There’s absolutely no excuse for this. They need to get all the sewer pipes replaced as well. We are tired of coming into the building and it smelling like rotten eggs first thing in the morning. No, it’s not someone’s Wawa breakfast sandwich that you are smelling. People joke on here about it being a torture chamber, but it’s not that much of an exaggeration. Even the coyote decoys have to be embarrassed about this debacle!

The CUSA team have been complaining about the pests for years! We get sticky traps that get handled maybe every 6 months or so. For YEARS!! CFS is in the building for 5 minutes and all of a sudden pest control is a frikkin priority? Wow. Tell CUSA without telling CUSA they are third and fourth class priorities without saying those words! But at least we all get to WFH, so thank you.
@a9 Absolutely this, 100%. If your entire job can be done on a laptop, phone, or meeting with customers outside of an office, there is no reason to continue on with the expenditures of office spaces.
If this company was serious about profit margins, they would allow all sales, admin, billing, field tech, etc. employees to work remotely & sell off all brick and mortar office buildings (or let the leases expire) without water and electricity costs piling up instead of opining for an antiquated dream of what work "should" look like from a pre-pandemic era. A snapshop of corporate work that expired nearly seven years ago now (and isn't coming back).
They could save a ton of money by letting us all work from home all the time.
