Nothing like replacing an ordering system that worked fine - opus, and then replacing it with salesforce. But hey, it's ok, everyone is using salesforce now, as so should we. Watching the 17 screens of salesforce flash, redirect, load, bouncing ba--s - hang on were almost there - gives us all time to figure out what we are doing for lunch that day. Or hey, look at that butterfly on the window. You took a transaction that could be handled in just a few minutes and you destroyed the customer experience - all by using salesforce. After all, slowing down employees and hindering them is the object here. Houston we have a problem here - the sales reps are operating in an efficient manner - we have got to slow them down. Roger that, salesforce launching in full force - this will ki-l their numbers. But hey, everyone is using it and so should you, just gimme 9 more boosters while your at it.

@c6 Big Picture ? What happens when its announced that AI was a bust ? It's coming , anyone who says otherwise has no business talking at this level. The music has stopped, I don't hear a thing other than the bubble bursting. It's being propped up because we don't want to be embarrassed on the world stage and the big boys are being given time to preposition their investments.
@ad It wasn't just Stankey, It was weasels like Torretta and that layer of management who really need taken to the woodshed. They are the ones that swapped out American workers for temporary stateside labor from India and such. Let's not pretend it didn't happen. This isn't an American Company any more. The future of American Companies are ones that are nested in American Strategic Long Term Security like Space X and other AI companies where dominance is key. AT&T use to be one of those companies before they went turn coat. Even Musk stated that companies like his are forbidden to outsource due to national security agreements, AT&T has become a National Security nightmare IMO, you cant have security of any kind when you are trying to operate over half the company out of Bangalore or Hyderabad. Frankly customers are sick of working a phone tree for english.
That was one thing that I absolutely agreed with and seen eye to eye on is when Whitacre made the determination that we were going to be an "On Net" company and we were not going to be paying vendors for the things we could do in house. I remember his speech well, and talked to him afterwords. He had a clear vision about not getting trapped into situations where Vendors were our biggest cash drain. Frankly after being laid off four months before my rule of 75 , now days I could care less. It made it easy to see what this company and its managers has become. So now I get to watch it slip beneath the waves. I took my Pension and put it in SPCX , the future of communication and I don't have to worry about layoffs or people who stab you in the back. I saved a ton by moving all my services to less expensive providers and i'm better off for doing so.
My biggest gripe with T is the sh-t vendor selection and they always buy /subscribe to the crappeist vendor products we have to spend a sh-t ton of effort to learn or integrate.. Sorry but if youre a major corpo like T vendors should offer you concierge service not sh-t products, leadership is to qucik to sign on the dotted line guaranteeing their sales team fat commissions.
It worked so well for repair/maintenance lol. Welcome to the party.
It’s the biggest joke ever! But yet they send a text out wanting us to be faster with customers! Salesforce shuts down are horrible and so so so many extra steps compare to before!
Big picture guys, we're doing this because salesforce will be connecting AI into their platform which will automate workflows, analyze customer data, generate actionable insights, with the goal to create a more personalized customer experiences, and eliminate the need for AT&T employee interaction, so when you are placing your orders and change request now in salesforce, you're basically training the platform to do this aspect of your job, you'll also see the premier web portal/store integrate along this same platform. The rule of 75 can't come fast enough.
Don't forget all the other positives of using SF like data breaches.
Just about everything is being outsourced, and that includes jobs. Azure alone will wipe away many, many jobs. Heck, it already has!
What?? Salesfarce is worth every penny we pay them! 🤪
Infosys and Accenture love sfdc and stank loves dividends. Would you rob our king of that extra $25,000,000 in dividends that he has clearly earned. You will use sfdc and you'll be happy lord stank let's you drive to the office to work with the overnight slackers in India!
Seriously, doesn't it make you feel good to know that the schlubs we're coming in to work with are the guys who can't land a day job in their own countries? Scary, right?
Standard operating procedure here at ATT. Fits right in with the culture that Stank is building.
