My manager used to be in meetings everyday just about all day. She was usually not at her desk.
I thought to myself alot of times, what in the world could they be possibly be meeting about each and every day, what could be any different from day to day?
Pre Covid these meetings were all conference calls. They still have the same number of them.
Despite the Hudson Yards gaslighting, most people work across virtual teams and not with people in their building. So, any meeting is more likely to require Teams vs grabbing a room as there's usually one or more person in another city/country.
This is how we know that that the justification for RTO supporting in-person collaboration doesn't have any legs.
In defense of the managers, Shart has centralized all real authority, so no one has agency to do much managing anyway. We're waiting for the golden ticket, same as you.

@OP Don't forget to put "managers" in quotation marks. The only thing the "manage" is getting their noses up their bosses' anuses.
