@be I agree with you
It's soul destroying seeing how bad this company is treating staff
@bb toxic is a polite way of putting it
It’s a complete dumpster fire
@bb I think they mean have the 164 people been notified or are there still people who have still to be told
@b7 what do you mean how many are declared?
164 Jobs going. No joke 90% of the people I know in PayPal want redundancy.
It's a very toxic work environment
@b3 Do we have a number about how many of 160 are declared?
@b0 No it wasn't all remote the opposite infact a high percentage impacted are office based in Dublin.
Was it all Remote workers?
@aq rumours already started that aht to be reduced to 350-400 this is sure fire way to push people out and burn them out
@an 100% the people left are going to pushed out one way or another
It's a souless place to work now
Sad to see the decline of the company
@ak if it’s not given this time round for Irish employees the stats will be updated to catch people out and place them
On PIPs so Hr can get rid of them. Micro management here we come!
I have seen a few redundancies in my time, 3 in Paypal alone, none was as messy and disrespectful as this round. Like most of us, I'm just waiting and have no illusions if you compare the Salary in India against a salary in Ireland for the same work.
I am new to the Ireland business and cannot get over how clunky and cold the cuts seem to be communicated. Does not surprise that staff seem to have little loyalty. If the acquisition is dead then more cuts are more likely.
Yet to hear of one person in Ireland who doesn't want to be put out of their misery in PayPal.... its a toxic he-l hole!
@a4 I think it's only a matter of time for the credit teams agent leading to be let go and the work offshored.
It's inevitable really
Maybe in the next round in 6 months time but I would hazard a guess these front line roles aren't safe as they are easy to outsource to cheaper countries
But I will hold on for my package. I'm not leaving without it.
Also 7+ years here
Yes thinking the same. Gunna sound bad so really wish I get it, it’s the vast consensus from the credit cs department (for agents above 5years in the department) as it’s falling apart and with the folks from overseas that moved to role a few months back it shows we aren’t safe like we where in the past! Plus the stress we have with system not working/outdated it would be a release
If there's anything happening it will prob come out at 9am like yesterday
Northern Irish guys may get affected today with the UK maybe 🤔
