Help! Is audit as bad as I am hearing?

I might have a opportunity to join Truist audit and started asking around and now I'm nervous. Everyone I talk to says it is miserable and one said "horror show". I get layoffs are coming but same where I am now. My gut says this is a mistake.

Marketing RIFs start this coming week

and will likely be done by end of November. Will be done in “layers” starting with manager positions but don’t know how many layers or how deep.

Never forget this about Truist

market capitalization of $64.7 billion, as of December 31, 2020. They can’t blame it all on Kelly as much as we’d like. The butterflies are still dying it’s just not KK ki-ling them.

Is the laid off date effective right away? Like effective date = termination date? Or they would take away your system access first but give you a time period like a month so you can stay on the payroll for 1 more month?
