Topics regarding layoffs at Truist Bank

If it wasn't sad, it would be funny

Have you noticed how many people keep failing up at Truist? I've seen it happen again and again. People mess up in major ways and then instead of facing consequences they get promoted. This is the best indicator that cronyism and nepotism are alive... — read more

Truist is a sinking ship!

Truist stock is down 35% year to date. Employee morale is in the toilet. Total disaster of a merger and what it is today. Sorry excuse of a leadership team.

“TEAMMATES” announcement

Better get those resumes sharpened up. The clock is ticking on major shakeups. Coming soon to a region near you!

Wage a war of attrition

This management team has tilted everything in their favor. They ask for sacrifice from everyone yet somehow they are the only ones who reap the reward, Bill's raise is objectively wrong, without any pain or responsibility for their failure. There are... — read more

There's no value staying loyal to Truist

I was a Branch Leader in Columbia, SC. I was so stressed out by the ridiculous goals, management that don't care about branch employees, and our worthless region leader. Do yourself a favor and look for better opportunities outside of Truist... — read more

Who is John Galt?

Ah, remembering times when BB&T was a great place to work! Back when you felt like you mattered to the execs.

Truist is the Bud Light of banking

Management sounding so smart while they talk to themselves in front of you. it sounds so good it has to be right. Until it isn’t. We are in the ‘Isn’t’ part now. At least the dividend is safe. I guess the $1.6-$1.9B in cost saves isn’t... — read more

Purpose Driven Bank

Nailed it if your Purpose is to lose 50% of your market cap and run off customers

Which areas are the most toxic here?

There is no doubt that the bank in general is deteriorating very quickly. I'm really interested in what you would say, which areas are the most toxic? It's a shame, because it drives the remaining good employees to the competition, while the... — read more

"Bold changes"

So Bill says there are some "bold changes" coming! Can we start with having him step down and insert someone that knows how to rescue our failing bank?

Audit is Toxic

There is a toxic smog across Audit and it's only getting worse. My manger is miserable, I am miserable and everyone I talk to is miserable but no one feels they can speak up. If they have not posted out already, they spend evenings desperately... — read more

So what’s the real reason

Kelly and BBT board granted Suntrust the leadership of new bank? Not just at the executive level but throughout middle and upper management except the community bank which they don’t appear to care for anyway. Anybody really know?

Nobody regrets leaving Truist

My advice is to get away as fast as you can. Things are only going to get worse for us. The people I know who quit have no regrets over it. They are enjoying their new jobs and not looking back. There's no reason for any of us to stay a day longer at... — read more

RTO and 30 Miles of Office

Has anyone been communicated that only people who live within 30 Miles of a Truist Office location are expected to RTO even if offer letter said remote? So basically, if you are outside of 30 miles and your offer letter says remote then you can still... — read more

More about how well the bank is run: The banks that had the lowest capital ratios under these tests were the midsize banks, such as M& T Bank and Citizens Bank, and super regionals, or banks with a national presence and over $500 billion in assets... — read more

Pride @Truist

Truist stock down 30% year to date : )

It is very obvious that they want me to quit

Isn't it very obvious that they are pressuring us to leave without severance pay? I definitely intend to leave, but only when I find a better option because I won't miss my severance pay no matter how much pressure they put on me.

At least there'll be fewer layoffs for a while

I'm not taking pleasure in other people's misery, but at least those who decide to leave due to RTO will help those of us who decide to remain. I believe that if the attrition is large enough, there will be no need for layoffs for some time to come... — read more
