Managers who use fear as a management tool

It's tiring having to deal with managers who use fear as a management tool every day. Do they honestly think that yelling at us and repeating again and again that we will lose our jobs if we don't do this or that is a good way to manage? All they are... — read more

Branch Layoffs?

Any confirmation of layoffs in the branches last week or upcoming?

A lack of optimism

I used to work with experts and it was a pleasure to work here. Now I am surrounded by mediocrities with inflated egos. This no longer resembles the Truist where I started working. Almost no one believes that this place can be the way it used to... — read more

How is it determined who gets cut?

Do managers have any say in it? I'm asking because my manager is still pi---d about the people we lost in the last round of layoffs. I haven't asked him directly about it, but it seems that he had no say in who was going to be shown the door. That... — read more

Cleaning up

Clean up is necessary in order for Truist to be successful,a lot of unnecessary positions, with lazy unproductive people.

Work is fun once again

I can't emphasize enough how important good company culture is. Working in the toxic cesspool that was Trusit ki---d any excitement I had regarding work. When I switched jobs, it was more to get away from a problematic manager than me thinking... — read more

It's too late for Truist

Once the merger happened, we had to suffer through several years of layoffs and loss of talent that has left behind most of the sycophants and the worst management imaginable. I can't see a way in which things can get better from this point on... — read more

2022 Severance Packcage

Has anyone heard what this round of reduction in force (RIF) severance package is? BB&T was minimum 8 weeks or two weeks for every year served, I think the cap was 50 weeks. Curious to see if they go with H SunTrust severance.

$22/hr minimum wage

Are they raising everyone’s salaries that are already $22/hr or more? Any managers or up on here heard anything to this effect?

How will layoffs proceed?

I know there were layoffs yesterday and I see that some people have mentioned that cuts will continue through July and August. I'm wondering if that means it will be condensed layoff rounds (once a week, twice a month), or is it going to be small... — read more

Layoffs are happening for the next four weeks.

Starting another round of layoffs throughout the next two months. many areas will be effected. Some of the people who are laid off will surprise you. Good luck, we knew it was coming.

Another reorganization?

Why are people talking about another major reorganization? Is something really coming or is this just office gossip that got out of hand?

Truist unveils new Innovation and Technology Center

This has to be a joke, call the call center to express your feedback, waiting time has improved to one hour at best. https://www.bizjournals.com/charlotte/inno/stories/news/2022/06/22/truist-innovation-and-technology-center-uptown.html Truist is... — read more

Don't quit ahead of a recession!

I keep telling this to my coworkers who are too happy to leave at a time that might not be the best. If nothing else, make them lay you off and pay you severance in the process. If you're new someplace else you're guaranteed to be the first on the... — read more

All the money went to marketing…..

It seems all the money went to marketing and there is a huge disconnect between what marketing says and what bbt can actually deliver….their first slogan of being a technology driven bank was the same week they came and ripped out all our equipment... — read more

Another reorg

We've just wrapped up a reorg a few months ago and now I'm hearing talk about another one? Is this just idle office gossip or is there really another reorg on the way? If the answer is yes I have to ask, why? Why do we need another one so soon after... — read more

Layoff Rumors

Have you heard any layoff rumors lately? I see a ton of topics below, but we are not discussing layoffs anywhere. Do you think we'll have layoffs anytime soon?

Announcement made this morning that Daryl Bible is retiring from Truist. A search for a candidate to replace him has begun.

We have embraced the “dog eats dog” culture

I have been here for long enough to remember the times when things were different. Now the only way to survive at this company is to only look at your own interest at the expense of putting down your coworker. That is a sad fact by itself, but what... — read more

Such a profound change in just a few years

If you have a college degree, modest work experience, and just a smidgen of self-respect, leave Truist. It's not worth it. We're not paid enough to deal with all the cr-p we're expected to deal with every day. I've been with BB&T for over a decade... — read more
