HR at US Bank is completely useless

If you were under a mistaken impression that HR would be helpful if you had an issue that warranted its involvement, allow me to disillusion you. HR is a complete dead end and utterly useless to help in any capacity. In fact, all you can achieve is... — read more

Cobra from US Bank

Has anyone got COBRA from US Bank? How much was it? I have called twice and got 2 totally different numbers. Thanks

Fire/Run people off - then hire 3 people to do the job

This actually happened/happening. 2 people left/laid off, Management hires back 4 to do the job 2 had before. That is bad enough management, but here is the kicker, pays new hires literally twice as much as the departed employees😳. How on earth does... — read more

Any word on the placements in Retail???

How soon before we find out who the top dogs are in retail? We know there are a lot of medium dogs that will be under those top dogs and the deadline of June 3 is looming

Scammers

They hired a scammer in my LOB. The resume is laced with God knows catchy words. LOL

24 HOUR BANKING

Any idea why the bank is hiring external employees to work remote for customer service and then making the portland call center employees return to office? Absolutely not fair!

How is it determined who gets laid off?

This is a question for managers if we have any here. Is there a way to volunteer or make yourself a likely target for the next layoffs round? I would like to be let go with severance and if I could save a job of somebody who wants to stay while doing... — read more

Reorgs never stop

I guess the point of any reorganization is to make things better. But then why is it getting worse after each reorganization? My advice to everyone is not to stay here for more than two years and to constantly be on a lookout for other options... — read more

U.S. Bank Titles

What do the titles mean at U.S. bank? I.e officers, VP , SVP, ect. Are they useless entries next to the employee's name?

CBB layoffs coming in June

Another useless re-org happening in June. First with the CFO org and now leadership and teams to be shuffled around by June. Senior management will give themselves pats on the back when in reality all it’s done is create inefficiency and mass... — read more

It's Wednesday

Is anything happening? It's so far calm in my neck of the woods but it might still be too early to say. I didn't get any emails yet about mandatory meetings, so that's a plus. Please, if you know for sure what is coming (if anything) today, share... — read more

Isn't it high time to get rid of useless management?

I've never worked for a company with these many levels of uselessness. Managers reporting to managers, who report to more uselessness. You need one director with frontline managers reporting directly. These old time, useless management class is so... — read more

That won't save their reputation

If the leadership thinks that doing layoffs silently, without news of it reaching the media, will prevent damaging the reputation of this place, then I think they are simply wrong. Because, there are already a lot of dissatisfied employees, who... — read more

Managers leaving for greener pastures

Yesterday my manager handed in the notice that he was leaving for a similar job at another company. That is my third direct manager in a year and a half that left on his own for (as they say better) jobs at other companies. One has to wonder that... — read more

I really want to quit

I'm just too scared to do it. Other major banks all have the same issues we have and while they might be better, it's not that easy to get a job at smaller banks, even now. I'm not sure how to get myself to take that step. In all honesty, being laid... — read more

Upper Management Layoffs A Big Ruse In CBB

Big announcements about upper level Layoffs. Everyone is concerned, think it's about time, cut the fat. Funny thing only 10 to 15 are actually affected. The number of new jobs posted almost matches the number of jobs "eliminated". Think about... — read more

More is coming

Don't be naive to think this is it. Restructurings never last just for a week or two. They drag on for months and usually include several layoffs. While I don't have any inside info to claim this to be true without a sliver of a doubt, I'm just using... — read more

Is this round reserved for managers?

From what I understand, there'll be more layoffs before the end of the week but the only ones affected are various levels of management. Is this true? Did I understand it correctly? If that's the case, then for once, the bank is doing something it... — read more

Ageism is very definitely alive and well at US Bank

Mortgage supervisor

So it is true today at 10 am 3/29/22 I was layoff with 20 plus other employees. Last month US bank assured us this would not happen. Yes after a recorded breakdown Gn year from the pandemic 16-20 hour days they just laid us off and I believe it’s... — read more

Merit Increases?

I thought raises were to be on today's paycheck. Nothing changed with my pay. Should I assume that means I'm not getting a raise? My boss & I never had a conversation about a merit increase. Did others get a merit increase on today's check?
