Topics regarding layoffs at Bank of America

Nobody should be surprised by the latest reports

If you didn't realize by now that the bank treats employees like an expense instead of an investment, then it's on you. If you're an expense, then they'll do anything in their power to minimize that expense. Benefit cuts, lack of bonuses, overworking... — read more

Survey results????

So I know for sure BM said during the Town Hall that we should be hearing Results soon, but that was almost 2 weeks ago, so clearly this is in need of some spin. Anyway looking forward to how they word all this and make it seem like this is all great... — read more

NeuroDiversity and Exclusion

Front page of flagscape, an 18 page pdf talking highly about diversity and inclusion and treating neurodiverse employees with respect and admiration, later in the same day I’m yelled at that I need to be more like other people to ever be respected or... — read more

NYC to Charlotte

Anyone got transferred or was relocated from NYC office to Charlotte? What was the major difference between the two? Better? Worse? Was it worth it?

Technology Tracking

Can this non permitted/outdated technology program get any more cr---y and convoluted? No progress, no improvement, no better Outlook.

Still can’t admit the truth

So… clearly the bank is having trouble admitting the truth to employees regarding the results of the flexibility survey. They can kiss my a-s when they want me to enter volunteer hours or take any other surveys. If they think we’ve forgotten, they’re... — read more

Back ground checks

Any internal associates have any experience going thru the BOA background check.

Band 6 to band 5

Anyone know what should be expected as far as pay coming from a band 6 to 5? I want to also add I will be losing my shift differential which is 8%. Will it be worth it and are there ways to counteroffer if the increase is low?

Does anyone here work in NYC and is unvaccinated?

If so, were you called back into the office? I know NYC had a mandate saying private businesses may not allow any unvaccinated workers to work at their workplace. Does any NYC people know if that mandate is still in effect? I don't see anything about... — read more

Layoff candidate or promotion

Thought I was going to get the axe. Got a promotion and nice raise instead. Gotta love this place. Slacking wit the best of them & now I am management. Love this place. Absolute craziness.

Band Change

If someone applies for a band 4 role and is currently a 5; does anyone know what the “typical” increase percentage offer is? Or know how much they could be willing with a counter offer.

We need a better system.

What’s funny is, they’ll give huge pay raises if you get a new role, even if it’s less interesting to you, but almost nothing even if you get the double exceeds and bust your bu-t to kiss your boss’s a-s. They’ll even pay the new person who takes... — read more

With all due respect, some exaggerate a bit

It is true that BofA has many issues and it is true that the problems are just piling up, but I think people exaggerate when they say that this is the worst place they have ever worked at. It's understandable that people are frustrated, but I always... — read more

positive vs negative

positivity will allow you to flourish and be kind to others; negativity will eat you alive and make you miserable;, so many shallow negative comments on this site. perhaps a reflection of the mediocrity of this company. so so sad....

Painful award

Can anyone explain the stock award that the company sent to associates? I’m so confused by the stock world. And I’d call the advisers, but I don’t even know what to tell them I need or why I’m calling. I keep getting emails saying I need to transfer... — read more

There's no point in doing your best

It is impossible to manage an organization the way BofA is managed and expect employees to continue to do their best. I used to be frustrated by those who pretend to work or who only do the bare minimum, but now I totally understand them. Perhaps... — read more

Love it or leave it

Let there be layoffs

Let them give me a severance I earned ten times over by spending more than a decade here so I can leave and take at least a month off to recover from this toxic place. I don't want to quit, that would defeat the purpose. But being laid off would be a... — read more

It didn't bother me that much before

Even before the pandemic, I had a hard time tolerating some things in the office, but I guess I was used to them and tried to ignore them in order to keep my peace and be able to do my job well. However, after the pandemic, and after RTO, I wonder... — read more

How is RTO going?

I left 4 weeks ago and don't regret a bit. I was a VP in Tech and I landed a better role with competitor working remotely. Are people still asked to RTO? Is it 3/2 days or full-time. I was in Charlotte.

Unfair treatment

Is it even a good idea to report unfair treatment in the workplace to HR? Or am I just going to end up with a huge target on my back? tired of it all

RTO resignation

At a big debate with myself on if i should just resign to leave this office life behind me. Sigh I really like bofa but the RTO IS NOT for me. I really tried to give them a chance to make things right

Change the toxic culture

I don't think the atmosphere has ever been more unhealthy. Why don't the managers do something to change that, or maybe they actually like this kind of atmosphere? I'm overwhelmed with work, but I could handle it all easily if only there weren't so... — read more

I would take a pay cut just to move on

If I could find a remote job that pays 20 or even 30 percent less than I get here, I wouldn't think twice about accepting it. I was ready to leave before the pandemic due to the toxic work environment and being overworked, but once we started working... — read more
