Just like the title says. voluntary layoff emails to severance and leaving the company are going out. Anyone hear of this?

@ke if you quit you forfeit your agreement to head out to pasture early and the severance payout that goes with it and any vesting on RSUs if you have any (only available to Director and above). Best thing to do is take another gig, take all your time off to avoid having to go into the ghost town on days when you need to go in person to your new gig. Don't tell them sh-t and double dip. Get paid twice and don't roll the dice.
@18x It hasn't been good for years. Joyce really did a number on this company and took the money and ran. Then came the fools who are in charge now. They all threw Ken under the bus the minute he left the building, which is a shame since he was the one that really grew this place. They all got behind Turtle guy and his minions. Turtle guy was the one that really threw shade at Ken since you know those Cap Gemini people really wanted everyone to bow down to them cause you know they walk on water, breathe fire and brimstone and didn't deliver on anything. Then when the board had enough of their shares tanking, threw the baby out with the bath water and all those people that were kissing Burnt Burger's a$$ to save their own, rallied to ditch Joyce, Burger and the Cap crew. I would not trust any one of them, ever. They have show their true colors and it's not Fuchsia. Anyone who had a spine has been ejected, those that have left were desperate to get out.
Now, if you change your whimsical title on LinkedIn and tag line every week trying to get noticed by a recruiter, it's not working. You are still at this place, stuck in the TwilightZone.
B- Players hire B- players. And boy there are a lot of them. Look around!
@h8 Anyone on here old enough to remember the slogan taped to the West Stadium wall at Harl - the one in black construction paper? NO LIMITS! Managing change can be tough, sure, but the voluntary layoff (soft form of an LBO is a good idea. Is the 50+ target really a thing, or just coincidental to an aged work group which held on to a good thing while it lasted? Any heavy hitters opting out?
Found another gig, just got an offer this morning, have been working on it a while. Am going to take the early out to double dip on these id--ts.. This place is struggling a lot more than you think.
Signing... Get me out of this place. What a train wreck!
@ke If you stick around, you will still get laid off, if you don't take the early out... The package for sure will be less just like pipeline... wait, I have an idea, let's get rid of folks through early retirement, that way there is no WARN notice... But we will still however keep up the spirit of you know, heart and harmony and all that jazz by laying people off every quarter in small but impactful batches to avoid issuing a WARN notice... Brilliant mate! That's makes it look like everything is rosy around here, but the truth be told, it is not.
@ke Take their money, find another job and don't tell them Jack... <<- Get it!
What a strategy of growth. No pipeline problem here.
The way I sprinted to this thread lol.
So here's my question... phased layoffs in Q4, assuming they'll tell ppl if their final day is Oct 1st, nov 1st, dec 1st. What happens if you decide to take the severance, then find another job before september 14th. Say the start date for the new job is Nov 1st, but Insight informs you that your contractual last day is Dec 1st? Can Insight get out of not paying u if you have to actually just quit on your own to accommodate ur new employment? Seems risky unless youre an almost-retiree?
@j7 not so much BS now is it? Check your email lol
@jc told you I was right.
@j7 wait 2 hours and 15 minutes and find out
@er clearly this is bs
Must be trying to breach the gap.... LOL... Someone needs some AI security thing going on..... How's that working out?

@er Over 50, plus whatever years of service that will qualify... Strategically targeting those that have stock (so really Directors and above) so that they can wipe out stock that has yet to vest... Putting that stock buyback monies to good use. Buy out those stocks with severance, make a one time payout, write it all off on the books to cook the quarter (and amortize it) as pipeline is dismal here in the mid-market AI fantasy you think you live in. Departments with people heavily weighted at over 50's? Services, finance, legal, IT, marketing, operations, you name it.. Lots of people that have been here forever. Easy to try and wipe out a culture by removing those from the equation to position a new genesis. Now you can really get a glimpse at the new strategy paying out here.. Do what ever it takes to prop up the stock price to hit that 10Mil bonus. Human collateral elimination is what this company thrives on since nothing else from a "strategic" sense is actually working. Old warn out playbooks is what this leadership team is doing. Rinse, lather, repeat. If you are left when the dust settles and you think that you are special, just remember you are just a number unless you are part of the C-Suite. Replaceable and just another casualty. Just remember, Joyce sc--wed this place up with all her fantasies and she is still getting paid.
@e6 OK Texas, another OLD remote worker that is underperforming....
@ep everyone that's old, like over 40, like no ageism here.. make sure that you all reach out to a good employment lawyer before signing anything that is offered up.
@ep rumor on the street is it's being sent to 2,900 employees in US/CAN and UK. No idea the criteria.
@e6 what departments is this being offered to?
Thursday is the day the email is going out. Be ready y'all
Surely there will be some targets on the backs of a few that have been hesitant to read tea leaves, this is how this company operates. In a room together they all pat each other on the backs on how amazing they are, in private, they will happily put a blade in your back and then giggle how smart they think they are on way out. Back stabbers. Have witnessed quite a few people thrown under the bus for others' mistakes or stupidity. Or even more playground behavior. This is what it looks like to run a company into the ground. Politics has taken over and the heart, hunger and harmony are nothing less that hollow words for Fuchsia drinking fools.
Got to find folks willing to part ways as this seems to be the only way for this company to keep going.. Fire folks, fire some more, fire Services people to make the numbers look good. Off shore American jobs overseas in a desperate bid to control costs. Nothing new to see here, too many HC from underperforming acquisitions that have not paid off and are top heavy. Given all the dinosaurs around this place, my gut tells me that there will be an overwhelming response to early retirement and Insight will end up paying more out than expected. Have seen the same thing play out at other companies doing exactly the same tactic. Give me a chance to cut bait, get paid off and still find another job! Hells yeah... Let the id--t show go on.
