@OP Because it's part of the senior leadership box they need to check off for their annual performance reviews. I liken it to the Talking Heads song Psycho Ki-ler, "You're talking a lot but you're not saying anything".
I don't. Haven't for several years now. I do appreciate the opportunities to do absolutely nothing, instead of wasting time attending.
