Dell Ireland Redundancy

I've been added to the list. Does anyone know how much Dell Ireland are paying for redundancy..I heard 4 weeks plus 2.

@cn Last month, quite a few people were impacted in the Dublin office, but you barely heard anything about it in the news. I honestly feel Dell has been quite cowardly in the way it is handling these layoffs.

Dell could learn a thing or two from Oracle. Oracle has been openly announcing its mass layoffs and, from what I’ve seen, has been offering very good severance packages to employees made redundant, in some cases more than a year’s package, regardless of their experience.

I just think there should be more transparency and better support for people who are losing their jobs.

@c6 It's very unlikely that you've been on the list and then taken off. For that to happen, somebody would have had to go up to get a VP level approval to remove you. Not impossible of course, but it's 100% more likely the one who told you that is just flat out lying.

Ireland is pretty bad at paying out severance. But congrats if you got on the list. You're soon free.

@c6

I too would like to stay until I get a payout as I feel Dell have won if I just quit.

But as you mentioned, leadership are just crushing my soul with their behaviour.

ODW, SDD, it's all going to be a disaster.

Dell is genuinely playing with people’s lives, emotions, and mental health at this stage.

Leadership is constantly scaring employees with the possibility of redundancy while piling on an absolutely ridiculous amount of work. I was told myself that my name was on the redundancy list, only for it to somehow disappear later. Who exactly is running the show here? HR? Managers? Or some mysterious ghost making decisions behind the scenes? 🤷‍♂️

At this point, I’m honestly exhausted from the constant pressure and uncertainty. If Dell wants to make me redundant, I’d happily take the redundancy and move on. But I’m not going to voluntarily leave after years of putting in the work and carrying the pressure.

So here I am apparently too redundant to feel secure, but not redundant enough to actually get made redundant. 😂

What a way to manage people. Fair play, Dell. Absolutely textbook.

Can I ask to be put on a list? I actually wish I had been laid off with the rest of my team. The constant uncertainty over my future is too much stress. The company is so different to when I joined, leadership just seem to despise us.

What part of the business? Did you ask to be put on the list or have you just been informed that you are on it?

I heard the same, 2 statutory weeks capped at 600E pw + 4 ex gratia per year of service. What else is included I don't really know.
BTW. How did you manage to get yourself on a list?
