Thread regarding HCSC (Health Care Service Corporation) layoffs

Is burnout the norm these days?

It seems like over the past 2 years things have been getting progressively worse. We are expected to do everything faster with fewer resources. People are stressed and exhausted, and more end up leaving. A lot of positions are not being backfilled. We are constantly getting hounded about the 3 days in office policy (and all issues related to that). It just seems to be getting worse non-stop. Is there any hope, or is it better to look elsewhere?

Burn out at Luminare as well. We’re mostly all remote and ignored other than your immediate team.

Burnout is real. More with less and less money for employees too. Why do my co-workers get more time off than I do as well? Just because I'm in another state? I'm one of the most committed and detailed orientated team members with deliverables met and yet get jipped from a salary perspective and time off perspective. I don't feel valued anymore. I'm now not making enough to support daily living expenses and the organization doesn't care. We no longer matter as it became too corporate.

@ch I wasn’t implying that it was exclusive to those people but
just that since coming over, has only seemed to of gotten worse. So I am agreeing with you that perhaps it is the norm.

After two years of employment, I stopped caring knowing I am getting paid less compared to other members of the team

@ay burnout is not exclusive for those who came over in the sale. I am a long-term HCSC employee and just trying to survive. It’s so depressing here.

@OP most of us who came over in the sale have been slowly burning out for the last 2 1/2 years… but now we’re just numb.

Executives are not only clueless, but they are also ruthless clowns. They could get so much goodwill with employees just by being lenient in some things, but at every step of the way they don't care anything other than flex their muscle and show how clever and how strict they are. I am wondering if Maurice is in the office 3 days a week. Remember next week even with the holiday he still need to be there 3 days a week.

The butt clowns and micromanagers have burned out so many good people. They need to give an across the board raise to hourly workers to try to retain them - new hires are only going to come from the 5 hub cities because of all the other office closures and resistance to virtual training. Who would pay to travel and stay in a city for 6 weeks with no subsidy?

Remember covid? They threw money at us to try and retain people, and now we're lucky to get a 3% raise in March. Not even keeping up with COLA.
