Im not sure if it’s because im not someone whos getting laid off, or it just hasn’t caught up to me yet…..but im wondering where everyone’s getting this august 12th-14th date as the timeframe we’re all supposedly supposed to know if involuntarily layoffs will happen ?I check my emails nearly every hour since this whole thing started and all ive gotten is im not eligible for vsp. Thats it, i see so many posts even on facebook of people talking about what and when their separation dates are. But i get no information, my sup tells my team nothing. I work in claims talking to the providers and do authorizations, so is it just certain departments with this information or are some PL/supervisors more willing to talk?

How are folks notified when they are RIF'd? Is it an HR person or a senior leader?
@cw What department do you work in?
@cc thank you!
@a6 Our Senior Director has RIF training today on their calendar.
@cc My Senior Director said layoffs would be mid-August and there is a known departure date but she did not share that date. Aug 12 - 14 would align with you thoughts.
@cb kind of unclear wording but the person is trying to determine why they haven’t hrd the August date. he/she said “not sure if it’s because im not someone whos getting laid off” meaning not sure if that could be the rsn he/she hasnt been made aware of the dates
I think they are talking about the restructuring of the teams not sure what that means.some PL are in vacation I wonder if they took the VSP But I haven’t gotten an invite
It’s starts mid August but Im sure this will go on well into 2027. Never again, Will I work for a MCO plan. Constantly worrying about losing my job is ridiculous. Just be prepared for the worst. That’s all we can do.
@ad Nobody is getting emails unless you were approved for the VSP. Then in the FAQ is says Mid August for layoffs. Thats it nothing more. Unless a PL told them specifically
@ac thanks. I'm not sure what's going on over in my dept (WellCare Medicare) my PL has been very quiet and not so transparent with us. I also did not accept the VSP either but person on our team did accept it.
@aa i dont get those thats why im asking. How is everyone else getting this information
@ab claims call center
@a8 if you don't mind sharing what department are you working in?
Read your emails OP.
What su-ks well besides the obvious but the ones who took the VSP we want to leave they give us staggered dates, mine is Aug 2027 but I would happily leave now to save someone younger to keep their job. I am lucky enough to be on the other side of almost can retire, so if they would really take into account who wants to go it would so much less stressful.
@a3 my pl told us itd be by Aug 12th
Not being eligible for the VSP doesn't save anyone from being laid off. There's a post that mentions non-clinical duties for claims/auths being replaced by AI.
My people leader told us last week that a large number of people took the VSP .. so the involuntary number would be lower and we will know by Aug 12 th.
Fabulous. Just got a meeting for one of those days. Either I’m gone that day or will find out who was recently let go.
Our vp said those dates directly to our department.
The wording in the VSP FAQ states layoffs to start Mid-Aug. Not sure how some have knowledge of the Aug 12-14th dates
You wouldnt know anything about the separation month and year if you don’t qualify for VSP so you wouldnt receive any emails after the original you don’t qualify email. Hope this helps.
@OP noone is safe
