@a8 Indeed! Layoffs started already in 2025, with the final blow in July 2026. Incredible!!!!
Visa Inc. acquired Token ID (prev. Bell Identification B.V.) in 2019 and fired the entire company 6 years later.
Good news is that the fatnecks in Foster City have received their bonusses and compensations

So glad some of the DAP managers were laid off. Totally incompetent.

@xj impacts across UK offices, definitely double digits. Bad timing at start of school holidays with lots on PTO, left worrying if someone’s OOO is actually gardening leave

Have to assume package on the table for all is at least 180 days salary, which is max a tribunal could force Visa to pay for skipping collective consultation in UK. Think they want it over and done with ASAP to avoid more bad PR or further loss of morale, if there’s even any left tbh

Sadly anyone accepting redundancy likely has to sign a binding gag order with harsh penalties for violating. Can’t blame them for keeping quiet as there’s way to know how unique/identifiable their offer was…

Not the first “legal requirement” to have a loophole given enough money spent. Could become convenient excuse for missing targets and paying out less in November but who knows at this place anymore

@ax Interesting. If I understand UK employment law correctly if they are planning to let more than 20 people go in the UK they need to go through a 30 day consultation processm

CMS affected, at the more "expensive" cost centres. There's about to be a lot more racism I fear.
