Does anyone actually know when they will layoff? Alot of you said it was 18th but looks like it was all fake. This is so frustrating.

What is our motivation?
It's real people/customers who put their trust in PayPal. Who are trying to keep their life stable, under control.
I was part of an escalation today that almost hit the EVP level.
Be there to support the customer.
Or ask your manager for a day off if you need the mental break.
Or be the hero that helps your coworker who needs the break.

The CEO is an old geriatric man who moves very slowly. Maybe in 2027.
@c9 this won't happen. Acquisition could take a year/year and a half to complete after a price has been agreed. They need to operate BAU until the sale is fully complete.
They’ll hold off and let Stripe do most the layoffs after acquisition.

Why do you say it will be by Aug 28? I think it will be soon, too, but curious where the 28th came from

I don't think it matters the date now. It will be between now and the 28th. So we have 8 more days of living on edge. Should we just calling VPs out by name here so they can get a Google alert ding?
Personally I was just expecting to hear towards the end of August.
