It seems like another example of major defense primes consolidating operations into lower-cost, business-friendly hubs. Has anyone heard timeline specifics or how much of the legacy Rochester presence will ultimately remain?

I've had a lot of work from the NY sites in the last year. Palm Bay just built two huge classified buildings for a reason, one is open the other is close too opening.
@ga L3Harris does business in other New York and New Jersey locations that are much higher cost areas than Rochester New York and have businesses that would fit in the Palm Bay or Malabar campus operations much easier than tactical radios.
It is well past time to transition operations out of New York State. Between the high labor overhead, heavy regulatory burden, and overall cost of doing business in NY, shifting focus to Florida is the clear strategic move.
Factoring in that leadership—including figures like Sam Mehta—has little appetite for NY's restrictive environment, consolidating footprint into Florida’s defense tech corridor would save investors millions in the long run. Between FL's corporate-friendly tax landscape, lower operational costs, and access to a deep pool of cleared engineering talent, this move is long overdue.
