When LP communicated no merit increases in Q1, he mentioned that if results were good in Q2, he would reopen the topic. Well, LP tells Wall Street everything is great, rosy, awesome, right on track, etc. and then a week or so later tells the employees the results were bad, and they will look at raises in 2027. That was a gut punch, since this will make 3 years without a raise. My VP told me that his SVP promised raises in August, but we had to sell and inkjet or I would not be eligible. Why do our leaders make promises they can't keep? Here's an idea, maybe fund raises with cutbacks. since we bought Lex, I now have not 1, not, 2, but 3 "VP/SVPs between me and my old SLT SVP. We added 3 layers of people that I have no clue what they do. Why not cut some layers like you are supposed to do with a merger, and fund worker bee merits

@1br and no good will come from that
@152 It's all Lexmark. From the people to the processes, to the hardware, to the language.
@w5 the company will be run by Lexmark, you can see that by the number of Lexmark SVP's and above are running the business. Production sales is the next area to be impacted and replaced by Lex.
@qj yes it has been eye opening to see Lex managers who are figure head managers being kept. They are a manager and have very little capacity to be an active working manager (they either assign themselves or have assigned deliverables that are beyond managing people). There have been some great Xerox working managers who have recently chosen to leave this company. They knew their area of management so well that they were able to actually deliver something beyond just managing a group; yet the new leadership kept their pals/buddies in the leadership roles even though they did not know enough to actually deliver anything. These is just one example of office politics trumping good business decisions.
@jj no one can figure out why the C suite has exploded since Lex. Insane
My entire team is looking for another job after the lame response about raises from LP. They expected more from our new leader after the SB disaster
Want a 15% raise, do 15% less.
They tease us to get us to stay a bit longer. Ever seen Lucy and the football? thats all this is.
I'm hearing they won't be able to make the vital payments on the loan coming due in a couple not too far off because big boxes ain't selling.
I honestly don't care if I get layed off or not because I now have a beautiful Plan B already taking shape. I will easily survive another 12 months then it's goodbye and good riddance.
I just think it's lame that they even bring up merit increases at the SLT level. I mean, we haven't had raises in probably 9 or 10 of the past 15 years, and the raises we have gottem have been terrible. I wonder if Lexers have figured this out. Most of them were much higher paid to begin with, but it's more than obvious that Xeroxers have been way underpaid. That's why there are so many C players in the SLT down, and then they wonder why the company has been in hurting.
I think they promised the merit increases so that some people will look around and find other jobs, no severance packages.
@bz I was having lunch with a friend last week and he said " can you believe that after all the hours I put in last year and tenure with the Company (12 yrs) all they offered me was a 3.25% raise"
lucky.
BTW, is 2% after 5 years going to make a difference to anyone?
Listen. You don't get it, and you are never going to get it. LP blathering on to Wall Street doesn't mean a thing. It's a game. The numbers are published and you don't seem to be able to read. The only thing that can save us is massive revenue growth and we have had a revenue decline for 10 years and it will continue. The top guys will continue to take large payouts until the cash is gone and then you are done. Go work somewhere else.
This place was a scam from
The beginning. The truth was hiding for years and now comes to light. Proving what a lot of people suspected 10-15 years ago.
@a5 They want people to jump ship. It was a lie to get people to work harder and stuff the channel with toner, depressing future revenue to cook the books now.
Raises!!??? Raises???
That’s hilarious 😂. Raises. 🤣
You people are incredible. You should have left here years ago. Maybe decades ago.
Of course it was never planned. It was a shady lie they told to try and keep people from jumping ship. I can guarantee there won't be any raises in 2027 either. Despite what people say, a name like Xerox doesn't just close up shop, BUT in a year or two it will be an absolute bare-bones crew across the bored, run by AI and overseas, and the only ones making money will be CSuite
