I hope everyone on wallstreet knows that earnings are artificially inflated because total commissions haven’t been paid to 20,000+ sales people for Q2. I hope the analysis dig deep into this on the earnings call.

Weird Price Action Today
Weird price action with the stock today. Is Enrique actually about to say something? Seems like the buyout or layoffs got leaked to Wall Street.
AI falling out of favor
Now that AI and Big Tech are officially falling out of favor on Wall Street, how long until Jim pivots and claims his "big bet" on AI was just a victim of bad timing? Place your bets, but historically, he usually clings to a fad for about a year before quietly shuffling away.
What amazes me is how he always gets away with it. How many trends does this guy have to chase just to sit at the cool kids' table on Wall Street? Why doesn't Bill see through this? Sometimes chasing the shiny new thing doesn't pay off, to the tune of $20 billion.
First, it was autonomous vehicles Argo taxis, because every American loves to rent their car. "They'll be here tomorrow!" Then it was subscriptions. "Wait, no, energy, were an auto battery supplier now! Wait no one wants them, how about energy storage, anyone? !" And now? "Data centers and defense! That’s the ticket!" Affordable, sorry guys, that was Mr. Trump, which Jim referred to as the "return of common sense", after cursing him for stripping the EV dream no American wanted.
Does anyone remember the genius of the scooter or the inflatable bike? We're growing they exclaimed, we went from 5 employees to 500, that's progress!
Was the merit increase never planned?
When LP communicated no merit increases in Q1, he mentioned that if results were good in Q2, he would reopen the topic. Well, LP tells Wall Street everything is great, rosy, awesome, right on track, etc. and then a week or so later tells the employees the results were bad, and they will look at raises in 2027. That was a gut punch, since this will make 3 years without a raise. My VP told me that his SVP promised raises in August, but we had to sell and inkjet or I would not be eligible. Why do our leaders make promises they can't keep? Here's an idea, maybe fund raises with cutbacks. since we bought Lex, I now have not 1, not, 2, but 3 "VP/SVPs between me and my old SLT SVP. We added 3 layers of people that I have no clue what they do. Why not cut some layers like you are supposed to do with a merger, and fund worker bee merits
For those who don't know who our CEO really is
I'm seeing a lot of people (some know a lot, others don't have a fckng clue) analyzing the financial engineering the company has been carrying out in recent months. Well, none of that is a coincidence, considering who is at the helm.
Without a shred of admiration, but with all the recognition he deserves, it must be said that our CEO is an absolute wizard when it comes to high-stakes Wall Street finance, and it all goes back to his time running with Carl Icahn.
For five years, our CEO was Icahn’s right-hand legal guy, which is basically like getting a master's degree in corporate warfare from the most aggressive shark in the business.
When you work for Icahn, you are learning exactly how to rip apart corporate balance sheets, we-ponize debt, and corner massive boards into doing what you want.
So when Icahn won that brutal proxy fight against Xerox back in 2018 and ki-led their multibillion-dollar deal with Fujifilm, he planted LP inside Xerox as General Counsel to be his eyes and ears. Over the next five years, LP probably was the secret architect behind some of the wildest financial stunts you can imagine.
We are talking about helping orchestrate a crazy $33B hostile takeover attempt where Xerox, the smaller company, tried to swallow HP using a mountain of structured debt.
The real proof of how savvy this guy is came in 2023 when Icahn decided to cash out and sell his entire share back to Xerox for over $0.5B. Usually, when an activist investor leaves, his people get kicked out the door right behind him. But LP had made himself so indispensable by rewriting the company's entire operational playbook that Xerox couldn't afford to lose him.
FF to 2026, and the company is in a tough spot with the stock down, and the board immediately handed him the keys as CEO.
If anyone knows how to engineer a financial miracle out of a tight corner, it is a guy who spent a decade learning the ropes from Carl Icahn himself.
Stock is Suffering
Deeper employee cuts must be made, shareholders are not going to tolerate the stock price continuing to erode. Quickest way to recover short term is to cut headcount, Wall Street loves to see operating cost reduced.
Wall Street analysts
Saw a meeting on my calendar for the 2Q results this Friday. I am pretty sure it said that it was with "Wall Street analysts". I don't think I've ever seen that on any other results all hands call before. I wonder if they are real Wall Street analysts or just paid stooges that are going to say the future is bright and getting booted off the Dow after 22 years means nothing.
I feel like things like this are a red flag like the time in 2024 when they spoke about transparency for almost the entire all hands call.
It was just by chance that Verizon had just lost a class action lawsuit for not being transparent so they had to prove that they at least knew how to say the word.
Heard that UOP is to be sold in discussion
Wall Street said that UOP has nothing to do with automation or Honeyhell Technologies, it seems that finally kids in high school used AI to find out that UOP has nothing to do with automation or never will. what a bless!
stock price
How come the stock price is the same since dan joined? doesn't seem wall street believes verizon is an AI company....does this mean Hans will be back?
Chris Leahy's "Building for Growth" email
what a joke, she blames a fast-changing "AI-first world" and the need to "invest in high-return opportunities" for wiping out 700+ jobs, but she forgot to mention who those high returns are actually for.
Just two months ago, CDW’s board authorized a massive $1 BILLION stock buyback expansion and approved yet another heavy cash dividend... all to artificially prop up the stock price for Wall Street (which didn't even work. The company has plenty of capital; they are just choosing to sacrifice the employees who "got them here" to protect corporate profit margins so don't fall for their "aw shucks" Tiny Tim act.
To top it off, while she claims these decisions are "never taken lightly," there isn't a single SEC filing showing that she or any other C-suite executive took a penny of a pay cut (yes, this is all public information). Chris Leahy’s $15 million compensation package (an increase of 20% from the previous year, mind you) remains completely untouched while we get to take 100% of the hit.
Stock 52-week low
I see RTO and market based culture really paid off.
On track for back below $20.
Guess Wall-Street isn’t responding as positively to endless layoffs and treating employees like sh-t as they were before.
🤡
3M shares is rising
Congratulations to BB and his team for doing a great work. Wall Street seems to like what they are seeing. Enjoy the rise in tide in the shares.
More layoffs ahead if Wall Street Journal article on DT Tim Hottges is correct?
Article from today
Srini purpose now clear? Just like John Legere, get merger done, get big payout.
Dan promise to Wall Street - CAGR
Dan promised by 2028, see what moffet says tomorrow?
Medtronic has lost its heart
Today I came to a realization that Medtronic has lost its heart that made it what it once was. The mindsets to get ahead now are more in line with wall street (wolf of Wall Street reference) than with a company who gives people a second chance at life. Try to model a different leadership style or speak up and well….
Question to VPs and above
Have we figured how to increase sales? If not, no matter what you do (kick off lowly employees to save some change), wall street will keep shorting they will bring PE to 15 or less.
Chainsaw Charlie did please wall street today
WFV down almost 6%.
JPM only down 0.8%
Chainsaw Charlie knows how to axe people. He doesn't know how to grow a bank. He can't hide behind consent orders anymore.
Why Do We Avoid TDC?

Teradata (TDC)
Consensus Price Target: $35.73 (40.2% implied return)
Pioneering data warehousing technology in the 1980s before "big data" was a common term, Teradata (NYSE:TDC) provides cloud-based data analytics and AI platforms that help large enterprises integrate, analyze, and leverage their data across multiple environments.
Why Do We Avoid TDC?
Offerings struggled to generate interest as its billings were flat over the last year
Projected sales for the next 12 months are flat and suggest demand will be subdued
Sky-high servicing costs result in an inferior gross margin of 59.8% that must be offset through increased usage
At $25.48 per share, Teradata trades at 1.5x forward price-to-sales.
It is official!!
NIKE is certified $40.00 stock.
Let's hope that it does not hit $30.00
Yesterday's news was so bad that seems like Wall Street got a surprise and they don't like surprises.
Seems like everyone is capitulating this stock and leaving with no support.
No one is valiant enough to step in and pull this Titanic from sinking.
There goes my 401k, I guess I will be a greeter in Walmart when I retire
Higher Energy Prices, the U.S. economy; and Jobs.
Oil prices, and U.S. jobs created (nationally) -
2025 - 125,000 Total - Revised downwards from 181,000.
2026 - 34,000 Total - Non-Revised.
Higher Energy prices will remain for months (or longer) even if the U.S. Iran War ends (in the future) due to numerous factors including (the already damaged Energy infrastructure in the Mideast) with Iran remaining in control of the Strait of Hormuz.
- The U.S. will see Oil prices (the highest) during the Summer peak season, Asia; and Europe; will see it first-now.
LNG not so much in the U.S. but that also applies as well.
- The U.S. economy, and (Wall Street) are (currently) underestimating the effects of higher Oil; and LNG prices to a lessor extent, on consumer spending; and jobs.
It will (not if) affect numerous product pricing, and supply chains; in virtually every industry.

Sabre at a Crossroads
Sabre just issued an 8K outlining its limited-duration shareholder rights plan (basically telling Wall Street they have a short term 'poison pill' strategy) following the accumulation of a significant amount of stock by Constellation Software. Sabre's travel customers now not only have to worry about whether Sabre can deliver the products they need, but whether they will even have ownership stability since the stock started to be traded at The Dollar Store. I don't know about you, but Sabre has probably run out of runway to repair the balance sheet in time to invest in any credible product development that can compete with PROS, Accelya, or FLYR's PSS alternative's in the PSS arena. What do you think?
Investor Day BS
Brace yourselves people, put on your big boy pants because if you thought the last 3 years were rough budget wise internally since Investor Day 2023, get ready for the wallets to be even tighter than they were the last 3 years…..can’t make this stuff up. The stock is almost at it’s all-time high range so these people can’t lose any steam and traction. They want to promise Wall Street even more greed

The AI Economy
Wall Street is down today because of this speculation about AI's economic effects. It's well worth reading:
https://www.citriniresearch.com/p/2028gic
Stock price rise is crazy!
Cisco’s P/E ratio is 33+ - higher than Google, Amazon, Meta and Netflix. That’s crazy- Wall Street is valuing Cisco higher than all these other companies!
If I have one regret about not being in Cisco it’s this: stock was dead for many years and now that I’m no longer in, has taken off like a rocket! Just my luck I guess, don’t think anything changed significantly but the external perceptions sure have.
After the Wall Street beating today, layoffs are inevitable...
An ugly, but true reality. It's just a matter of time now. :(
As is typical for Intel stock
It goes up a week or so before earnings call then wall street kicks Intel to the curb. LOL. FML.
Layoffs due to AI are no longer making Wall Street and investors happy
While CEOs have spent months framing layoffs as a strategic shift toward AI-driven efficiency, the equity market has perceived recent layoff announcements as a negative signal about company’ prospects. "AI restructuring" is often a convenient cover for desperate cost-cutting necessitated by declining profitability.
Wall Street Has Stopped Rewarding 'Strategic' Layoffs (fortune.com)
The traditional Wall Street playbook held that layoffs tied to strategic restructuring would boost stock prices, while cuts driven by declining sales would hurt them. That distinction appears to have collapsed.
Goldman's analysts suggest investors simply don't believe what companies are saying ... The real driver, analysts suspect, may be cost reduction to offset rising interest expenses and declining profitability rather than any forward-looking efficiency play.

Street realizing true value ?
a company in healthier stage was valued less than a company with more than half of talent gone. To think that former WD management adds that much to the premium is something only seen by Wall Street - bulls create unthinkable scenarios
So does Wall St like what it sees
Stock price seems pretty flat…does the market have confidence in the new era at Verizon?
Shares up 3% today
Leadership remind me of Mortimer and Winthrop in Trading Places
Nobody Mentioned This
SB in response to one of the canned questions; "it's impossible to forecast quarter to quarter for Wall Street". Wait, what?!!! I thought that is your job. Then he followed with a telling slip of the tongue; "That's why companies go private and can come back out on the other side". He's done a yoemans job of plowing the share price into the ground and now he's hoping for a buyer to execute the plan his boss Carl brought him in here to do in the first place.
S&P just downgraded XRX to CCC+ an hour ago

I guess Wall Street didn't care for the Clown's pep rally today. This is why you pay your bills.
Remember when…
The stock was at $240 and no one complained? Me too.
Get your popcorn ready

$71 billion in stock buybacks over the last 5 years.
$40 billion more approved for 2026 and beyond.
It doesn’t matter that they are rolling in cash. They want you gone because there is never enough cash for those who worship it.
Capitalism destroys itself without a strong democratic government that protects its citizens. The government we have is bought by the capitalists.
