Heard about upcoming org changes in D&D, not sure when and what it’s going to look like.

If they shrink Technology much more, things simply aren’t going to work. Yes, there were too many invented consultant-style roles at one point, but most of that is gone. Now we don’t have enough of the right people to maintain what exists, let alone fix and improve it.
Meanwhile, leadership wants major new systems like an ERP without acknowledging reality: you may not see the full value of that transformation for 3–5 years, and during the transition you typically need more staff, not less. Costs can go up before they come down.
Keep cutting while demanding more and guess what happens? Another “failed” initiative—not because people didn’t work hard enough, but because they were set up to fail from the start. And any new business solution needs business resource too, shocker, so cut there then ask them to do more … think about that or say it out loud a few times until it sinks in please.
Stop managing Technology by spreadsheet and apply some operational logic or the money you do spend is wasted with no value!
