I left Dell at the end of July, and as of now, there are still no sales numbers available for commission sales representatives regarding their performance. This situation feels fundamentally unfair. I'm curious if anyone has initiated a class action lawsuit, as the rollout of One Dell Way should not have occurred without ensuring that sales performance data was fully accessible to us.

They won’t pay you. So lawyer up now if you think you have a leg to stand on. And PS- you do. Dell withheld comp, withheld data, and cut thousands of people during this time of no visibility to sales performance. Now, you’re left to trust the people who threw you out.
Don’t trust. Don’t wait for data. Build a case much greater than the actual dollars.
@en what does JC fundamentally contribute to the betterment of the company? Sincere question.
@10c HR cannot help you. A good workers rights lawyer can.
@1dg oh they know they just don't want to pay yet. They're messing with the comp plan again . Borderline criminal, absolutely cr-p treatment tells you all you need to know about the leaders. I'm outta this place as soon as I clear my background screen
@1dg I don’t have an ADP notice. I should get a draw even though I don’t work there anymore.
Commission is payable tomorrow. Paystubs are out on ADP. It was a draw. LOL
I guess they have no idea what they owe people.
@k6 "put in an HR case. We all need to get loud!"
HR closed the case and simply said, "Payroll does not have access to your sales record or SCORE and unable to assist with sales commission information."
The last line got me though.
"We hope you were delighted by the service you received."
Fu-k these people.
Granted I was laid off in August of 2023 but I didn't get my severance (was 6 months of full pay thanks to many years of service) until early October. I finally get my severance 6 weeks after being laid off and then randomly in December I got a random commission check from Dell for like 9k out of nowhere.
I feel like eventually they pay up when their books get audited but i could be wrong. Maybe I misread something in my package. Maybe that gives you a little hope.
There’s a lady called Polly Thompson who writes for Business Insider and who wrote extensively about the commission changes earlier this year. I’m more than certain that she’d love to hear from you via the encrypted app Signal. Her handle on there is Polly_Thompson.89
@fv put in an HR case. We all need to get loud! I just retired but want what I’m owed?
So what does this mean for people who have been let go? On the hook until November? This sc--ws with unemployment in some states too. If you're on unemployment, and you get paid (even if it was money owed from months ago), it can stop your UI payments.
@et Hope ODW doesn’t wipe out the sales data since sellers need to verify they get what they are due.
@et Correct. Payout will be together for Q2 and Q3.
@aq November at the earliest as of the brief I received this morning.
Haha all our commissions are going to fixking jeff Clarke at the moment to pay him his big bonus etc…. Employees like always will get handled at a later date!
@b2 That stinks!
Not according to the HR rep I spoke to yesterday. Comp team is not committing to that.
Been told Hit 90% of my number but will still be in payback! Not sure how Dell math works but it is not for the sales rep
Don't expect a payout for Q3 before holidays, the settle will be paid after the holidays this year. Go Dell!
There will be no further compensation
File a claim with Texas Workforce commission.
From what I understand, Q2 commission will be paid at the end of September.
All the more reason to do a class action!
They're not going to pay. They're opting for you to go after them legally. Their bean counters figure they will come out on top that way.
Not sure how your contract is worded. In some regions Dell pays the commission at will and they can decide when and in what extent they actually pay you. They can in theory cap you at 0% and there is little you can do.
In this regards the word unfair seems like a massive understatement.
In other news there still does not seem to be a date set when this will be paid out.
