Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

@sn nothing will be sent to you until close to your release date to review the release agreement. Once u do that u have 7 days to revoke it . On the 8th day it becomes active then goes into processing with hr and then u get ur check 1-2 pay periods later.

Where is all the information regarding vsp? All I got was an email off approval and information regarding my set departure date. Nothing else, When are formal contracts signed? When is money released?

It seems to me that they are going to do what is best for them and not the people who are taking VSP or being laid off. Why would anyone expect anything different?

Is your last paycheck and accrued PTO separate? In a State where PTO must be paid out.

I'm not sure but all I care about is getting the heck out no matter how many days. I'll have to ask my lawyer though.

@OP I received mine roughly 5 weeks after my last day to work. I had non-deferred compensation and even though the payout period is supposed to be 3-5 years from now they paid it out last month because it was below a certain threshold so those Ph uker's are going to cause a larger tax bill next year.

I was rif in may - last day may 29, paid up til june 5- got 14 weeks of severance. I signed right away and didnt get my severance til july 2nd pay day. Kicker is days before i was told about the rif in early may i had applied to another position - i interviewed for it and got the role - started last month and best of all? When i came back and asked about my severance cos it said if rehired within a time frame i would need to pay a portion back - hr said they were not pursuing it so i got to keep my severance and got rehired in new dept with no rifs because its largley revenue critical.

I believe you have 45 days to sign the agreement. After signing there is a 7 day revocation period. After those 7 days Centene will begin processing the payment. Could take 1-2 pay periods after that.
